When will we stop worrying about collateral damage and fight to win?

The "collateral damage", the innocent victims we are so concerned with will have more hate than their owners. We never could have won WWII fighting this way. Our fairy lump wristed modern concept of warfare is going to snatch defeat from the jaws of victory.

Islam will go after your kind first. Easier to convert people with no beliefs by force than people willing to die for their beliefs. Your kind will be genocided but mostly converted as a survival method. It'll be you and the Muslims dry humping each other battling together on the same side. Kind of like it is now...

Modern international military law that prohibits various war crimes was largely forged in the aftermath of WW2, specifically informed by the events there and those involved as an attempt to say "never again" to the atrocities and depravities committed. While certainly the allied forces committed war crimes and weren't punished for it, at the same time they did not wage total war with no regard for the sanctity of human life.

Germany soldiers were largely taken prisoner when they were captured, with executions and torture being sporadic. The nations once beaten were treated favourably and became influential allies. Indeed the war crimes involved in WW2 seemed to make little difference for the Allies, with the greater productive power and manpower of the Allies being the decisive factor.

But why can't that be achieved by public policy and immigration restrictions? Why do we have to fight them on their territory? It obviously hasn't been successful.

Yup. If you don't fight them there, they take over there, and then you have even more of them to fight when they get here.

Nice try. I know what a troll is. Everyone can figure out the NEED for America to fight and win this war. Playing ignorant is not endearing, nor will it illicit a definition of what is obvious. Your threat to force me to agree with you doesn't scare me either.

I don't believe there is a NEED for the US to go overseas and physically fight.

Playing ignorant is not endearing, nor will it illicit a definition of what is obvious. Your threat to force me to agree with you doesn't scare me either.

It wasn't a threat, and it's not pandering to ignorance either. It's overwhelmingly obvious our attempts to settle conflicts in the Middle East since 2000 have had very little success. To deny that is ignoring facts. All I was saying is you should be willing to back up your claim when asked about it.

I would disagree. There are plenty of ways to deal with territorial conflicts overseas by funding nations in the area who also want extremist groups to dissolve. I don't see the point in using SO much of our money to fight terrorism overseas. The attacks in the US in recent years have been heavily due to the lack of immigration restrictions.

When will we stop worrying about collateral damage and fight to win?

But, what do we "win" by fighting at all costs overseas in the Middle East?

Isolating the roaches back into their nest and away from our women and children.

But why can't that be achieved by public policy and immigration restrictions? Why do we have to fight them on their territory? It obviously hasn't been successful.

Bwahahahhahahaha!

When we had our army there, there was nary an attack in the West. We pulled out in Obama's term and all hell broke loose.

I assume you also realize how costly it was to have our army there?

We spent less money with our army there under Bush than we spent with our army absent under Obama. He outspent all other 43 Presidents combined.

I'll accept that as sarcasm. There's no way that's a serious question.

No, I'm completely serious. What does the US win, for itself, by engaging in territorial conflicts overseas?

You can fight them here or you can fight them there. I choose there.

You are about saving money and cutting spending? I guess Hillary is out.

Guess you'll have to vote for Trump.

Look, I don't support Obama -- not in the least. But I also don't support careless spending on the war on terror that doesn't show any worthy, measurable success.
