I'm just barely young enough to not distinctly remember it. I was on a trip across the country with mis abuelos. They found about it by watching the TV in the hotel lobby. That being said, I do still have one memory of a very distinctly pre-9/11 event, that being me having the chance to see inside the pilot cockpit.

How about where I was on 9/10, ?
I was on a beach on the north shore of Long Island, and I was looking in the direction of New York City, You can't really see it from where I was, but I was looking at the tops of some tall buildings and wondering if they were in Queens.
I got this weird vibe and had this thought that after today everything was going to change.
When I heard the news on the radio the next morning, I thought "well that must have been what that was about".

I was at home, because the crash happened before preschools started.

I don't remember much except that everyone acted weird and I didn't understand why.

I was in Kindergarden. I wasn't really aware of what was going on at the time since I was only 5, but I remember seeing something on the news about it. The only reason I remember it was that I thought it was a volcano errupting and was worried since so many people were as well.

Working for a broker dealer in California. My sister was in Manhattan.

The office was crazy. Lots of people had connections to NYC. I was the IT director. I had monitors switched to news for everyone, but the call center was crazy with calls from investors.

I thought Wall Street closed until that Monday? I'm quite sure everyone wanted to buy Boeing.

Yup. The financial world was crazy. People were very worried. As soon as the markets were opened, they went right into forcerd close to prevent issues.

It was really bad.

It should be noted that suspending trading did not mean not working. People in.NYC were trying to get to Chicago offices not knowing how long the NYC offices would be inaccessible.

Brokers had panicked clients calling like mad.

Home. My parents were up for a visit. My father was more emotionally moved than I had ever seen him. It brought back his memories of Perl Harbor.

At School. I dont remember which grade or class, but I remember half the kids in my class being early dismissed which immediately struck me as weird. Didnt quite fathom what all had happened until a few days after since my dad was out of town and my mom always kept me in the dark about stuff that happens irl or on the news

It was a few months before I was born. My parents were both in the United States at the time, and had a hard time leaving because of the incident.

I was in Northern NY talking to my good friend chatting over skype, he was living in Buffalo atm, I remember how astonished we were when the first one hit, talked about the pilot must have been drunk or something, didn't appear to be that big of a plane, figured it was a private plane, then the 2nd one hit. Even though it was 6 hours away, to think about it today still frightens/angers me that it could have even happened. When you take into account Israel has had reinforced cockpits since the 70's, what else aren't we doing that we should be, should have?

I'm not really sure. Most likely I was sleeping or something at home. I was far too young to have any memory. :(

Riding my bike into work.... Actually got a flat halfway in and a buddy had to come get me. We pulled in right when the first plane hit. Working in a sporting goods store we immediately had to pull all the guns, ammo, bows and crossbows off the shelf. We had one Muslim working with us and got them to immediately go home and lock their door.

I was living in California where i worked in construction. It was around 6:20 am when I jumped in the work truck to head for work. I turned on the radio and heard about the first jet hitting one of the Twin Towers. I shut down the truck and went into the house to watch it on TV. I saw the second plane hitting the second Tower shortly afterwards. I got to work late because I was glued to the TV for at least an hour watching all the smoke and news about the other planes hitting the Pentagon and crashing in a field. It's a memory I'll never forget.

I was on the bus. I heard about the pentagon on the radio. I didn't know what the twin towers were until I later saw it on tv.
