Throughout the last few decades there has been an unspoken knowledge that racism existed in America, but that it had come a long ways. Who knows what all people said in private, but society had dictated that everyone would be cordial and that being racist was obscene, so face to face everyone tended to be mutually acceptant of each other. Is this new manifestation of racial tension solely based on reality? I don't think so. There is a correlation in this divide, a new variable if you will, that is subtly using race, religion, and politics to collapse this nation. "A kingdom divided cannot stand". So how do you cripple your enemy? Divide it.

Ever since Americans were old enough to crawl in front of a television set, they've been told that Republicans are the party of rich white guys, and Democrats are the champions of the poor.

Prepare to flip that thinking upside down. Results from an analysis based on Open Secrets reporting shows that the GOP has lost out to the Democrat Party in the eyes of fat cats by $416 million over the last 25 years.

Not only that, if you factor in all the indirect benefits the Democrat Party gets from the non-profit sector, left-wing activism, public and private sector unions, Wall Street banks, universities, and superfund contributors, it has been estimated by Dr. David Horowitz and Jacob Laksin in their book The New Leviathan that the Republican Party is outspent in politics by a factor of 7-to-1.

Which will lead to a rise in the Libertarian Party.

I'll take this in a slightly different direction....this country is extremely divided between liberal-progressives, conservatives, and independents. If we don't get our act together and quit the incessant partisan bickering, we will continue to erode morale but our leadership role in the world.

The republicans financial problems are due to advances in telephone technology.
In the past the GOP could raise more money by begging with phone calls because republicans have more disposable income to give.
Then caller ID technology made it easy for republicans to know who was calling before they answered the phone, and they would not bother to answer if they knew they would be asked for money. The result was the GOP no longer was able to out spend the democrats.
The republican party has been called the rich man's party, so people who are middle class but not rich find that it is is chic to be associated with them, whereas if the democrats called themselves "the poor man's party" that would not be appealing.
as a result we Donald Trump acting as the opposite of John McCain. and concentrating on a negative campaign. It is possible that more people will vote against Hillary then will vote for Trump.

Unfortunately it can't and won't happen. Liberals and conservatives are opposing forces. There are off shoots for conservatives like libertarians and tea party, those that just don't want to be messed with, left alone to live their lives as they see fit with minimal government intrusion. The left is opposite of that. They want sweeping changes for the smallest minority of issues to affect everyone. Conservatives tend to promote self sufficiency while liberals government dependency. When ideals are so far apart there can only be a large division. If people were more self sufficient we wouldn't need as much government.
I suppose it wasn't always this way, at one time long ago the government encouraged self sufficiency in a way. I guess there's no more hungry people in the U.S. because there's no longer any encouragement for it. https://en.wikipedia.org...

Makes you wonder why nobody wants to donate to the GOP.

While the tide has shifted, and the huge gap that existed a couple decades ago is gone, the interesting thing is where each party is getting its money.

The Democratic party have been getting a larger base of smaller donor, while the Republican party has been growing a donor pool of obscene donors. On the corporate/labor union side, the split has remained about the same, but the dollar amounts have gone up.

None of this is good, but an argument can be made that having more people directly participate has some benefit. The finance reform that has been pushed hampers the republican funding sources much more than the Democratic sources, hence they are not so hot on the issue.

My guess is, this is not the cycle for anyone to make a big deal about this. It will come to a head soon enough, but with the candidates we have on the national stage are not the right people to start any ball rolling on this subject.

America has always been a divided nation since its history. This has created divisive institutions that still linger today. I don't know what the answer is, but it's going to take generations to solve; and I think Americans need to be recognize this.

black people are jealous and bitter, basically. they do drugs, get women pregnant and run off, kill each other, that's all their own fault.
