After many months of careful consideration, of prayer and searching my own conscience, I have decided that on Election Day, I will vote for the Republican nominee, Donald Trump.

I'm not certain what is driving this. Polls in TX still have Trump 42 to 36. Dallas Morning News had Trump up by 11 in Aug.

I've noticed that there are many Hillary ads in Dallas Market and there hasn't been anything Trump. I always knew that Cruz was a Never Hillary guy, but there must be a perceivable threat that he needed to endorse so his supporters vote for Trump. If TX went blue it would be all over.

Cruz may just very join the a good Ol' republican club, yet.

He had the best fund raising engine out of all Republicans in the primary. It seems if Trump loses he would have been in a better position not endorsing Trump, if one can call that an endorsement.

I think he is thinking Trump may win and doesn't want to miss the boat or he was worried about losing TX. Probably more likely the former than the later.

Honestly, did you expect different? Just like the Bern 'reluctantly' voting for Hillary.

They are all party machine hacks.

It is also not unreasonable for him to vote Trump, especially if he weights potential Supreme Court nominees as high priority.

Or is angling for a secretary appointment...

Cruz is playing politics like a can gobbling goat.

I am starting to notice something peculiar the further this election cycle goes...

Sure liberals still despise Trump
Sure conservatives still despise Clinton

But both seem to be adopting the disgust that independents already had with all 4 candidates. Now both will still probably vote for the nominated candidate, which is fine. But as a true independent, keep that disgust train, and skepticism, building and growing and just maybe on 2020 all of us will pick at least decent humans vs narcissistic dlckheads as potential candidates!
