I absolutely despise the 2 candidates and rarely come across someone who likes the candidate. The only ones I seem to find are redneck whites in favor of Trump and morning show enthusiasts in favor of Clinton. I want to know if you actually like either of the candidates, and why?

A ton of people on here - Thett, Skeps, to name two - genuinely love Trump.

well tbh I don't think Bill "genuinely" likes Hillary, not as much as well several other women....so I think it's fair to speak for him.

"Does anyone genuinely like Trump or Hillary?" aside from their family members? No, no one does, not genuinely.

I don't care much for Clinton, but my opinion of her has softened quite a bit. It turns out that when you get down to the meat of a lot of the problems people have with her, they're about as defensible as the conspiracy nuttery that bronto posted above. Aside from the recent email scandal, if you challenge a random person why they dislike Clinton, odds are they can't cite a reason with clear, supportable detail. It likely has more to do with Republicans roasting her for 25 years rather than real substance.

They would probably site, unless they are Trump supporters, Benghazi, Libya, a lack of job growth in New York, etc.

You'll have to explain the Libya and NY jobs thing. She has been exonerated on Benghazi, as far as I'm aware.

I don't really despise to many people but they are not recommended by me. My girlfriend comes from one of those religion like political families, and has followed Clinton's performance for a good part of her life. She voted for Obama, but she really likes Clinton, and is against Trump in the same fashion Brontoraptor will slam Hillary. She will defend Hillary Clinton's integrity until people can't stand it anymore and the subject is forcefully changed lol.

just for balance, as much crap as Trump takes on sites like this (much deserved), I am glad there are a few Hillary bashers (much deserved)... at least I get equally silly comparisons/links/comments in regards to how much disgust some have for the 2.

quite comical indeed.

I like the effect of Trump. That's enough of a reason to vote for him.

I like Trump. He doesn't really care about being politically correct and he's a real patriot. Not a fan of how he said something about not letting the media slander him because that's a violation of the First Amendment, but I agree with most of his views on immigration and terrorism. If you can only find redneck whites who support Trump, I suggest going to a Trump rally. There are people of all sorts of ethnicities there.

Just curious, what makes you believe he's a real patriot when he received 3 Vietnam war draft deferments due to college and a suspicious, yet convenient medical deferment after he finished school. He supposedly knows more than career generals on how to fight wars; when he dodged serving his country?

Patriotism is the last trait I would list for him. Find me one supportable point on his patriotism. Not jingoism, real patriotism.

I can do anything now, and if she has a problem with it, all I have to do is get her going on this political stuff, maybe mention a recent rise in trumps polls or something, being careful not to be supportive. I think that Trump would be fun to have lunch with, but I wouldn't say that I like him personally, mostly because I'm slow to warm up to people and don't actually know the man. I just think that he'd make a decent president, and that Hillary would be an unmitigated disaster (pretty much Bush redux)
"The Collectivist experiment is thoroughly suited (in appearance at least) to the Capitalist society which it proposes to replace. It works with the existing machinery of Capitalism, talks and thinks in the existing terms of Capitalism, appeals to just those appetites which Capitalism has aroused, and ridicules as fantastic and unheard-of just those things in society the memory of which Capitalism has killed among men wherever the blight of it has spread."

She has researched Hillary Clinton continually since before the majority of mudslinging began, and sees her as someone who has put in a legitimate effort and has worked hard to help our country. She is a genuine long term fan of Hillary Clinton, but as I tried to convey through throwing in with Barack Obama, is not a die hard Clinton nut.

She HATES Trump, and Cruz as well, but was fine with other republican nominations. She is one of those people who feels bound to make people not vote for Trump, largely due to her liberal choice in research and an excruciatingly exaggerated view of him as far as race and sex issues go, along with strong doubts of his unproven ability to use tact with national relations abroad, which is one criticism I share as well, but don't personally hold to be worse then Clinton at this time.

I might also add, that this is a woman with far deeper understanding of political engines and how things are run on the national level then I do, and many of Clinton's shady practices to common citizens probably align as purposeful moves towards meaningful goals in her mind. She is far more immune to insincerity in the political realm then I am, and often looks at moves in terms of their affect on the masses, while simple old me just takes words the old fashioned way for what they are.

I think Trump is a very good-hearted and amazing man. Probably the only politician close to being "human", which is why everyone is saying he's unfit for the job. They want robots and political fictional figures to rule over them. Not someone who goes crazy, moody, confused, hurt, happy and ecstatic. Not a human.

I like Trump because he understands high finance which this country desperately needs and he is politically incorrect, I can't wait for that heinous insidious thing called PC to be thrown in the toilet. It is the worst thing ever to happen to human civilization since the history of man and time being recorded. It's worse than ISIS because it created the path to it's rise.

The issue here, is becoming president is no longer a goal that smart people have. Back in the day it was like becoming governor of your state was an awesome success, and from there you get promoted to vice-president and finally president was the top.
Nowadays it's like the president is like being the guy that most people think has a hidden agenda or they just hate him. Look at what we got to select from this year. the 1st woman to run for president or the guy who might have become the 1st Cuban president, or Another one of George Bush's sons,
and those were the front-runners.
Half of the people who are planning to vote for Trump will be doing so because there is this liberal they know who they want to see the expression on their face when they hear Trump wins.
I would not have been a bit surprised if last night Hillary said "I can't believe I'm losing to this guy."
