Ken Bone did nothing wrong.

In case you didn't know, Ken Bone is an undecided voter from southern Illinois who asked a question about energy policy at the second presidential debate. For some reason, he quickly became an internet meme and agreed to do a reddit AMA.

Unfortunately, he used his own personal reddit account and users discovered his older comments where he discussed his politics (calling the shooting of Trayvon Martin "justified") and discussed porn. No big deal, though. Surely it will just be a thing redditors laugh at, right?

No, you're still pretending that we live in a sane society with responsible media. Instead, the media chose to publicly humiliate a private citizen for literally no reason. CNN. New York Times. Washington Post. Fox. NBC. All of them reported on this.

This is what the media does. They really do deserve anything that happens to them.

And this video may have become a meme as well, but Chris Crocker was 100% right at the time, and it's how I feel about Ken Bone right now. F*ck the media.

How do you feel about all the people Trump has insulted on twitter. Should they be left alone?

And conservative justice warriormanship raises it's ugly head.

Why is it that everyone wants the freedom to speak their mind and not allow anyone to respond to it? If he is getting death threats and harassment it needs to be stopped, but I didn't hear a peep on the conservative side when trolls went after gamergate women.

You don't see the problem with the media publicly humiliating a private citizen and openly bringing to life his porn habits? For literally NO reason?

Wtf are you talking about? He didn't ask for any of this. He did a reddit AMA and didn't think to create a new account. And instead of his NSFW comments being a funny thing for redditors to laugh at, the media trotted them out on the national stage and utterly humiliated him. For no reason. What did he do to deserve this?

You know I don't often find my agreeing with you but you're absolutely in the right here dude. Even though I don't believe the Trayvon Martin shooting was justified, the courts ruled it was so there's nothing wrong with him saying so and he even admitted that Zimmerman is a POS. The rest of his comments is him just commenting on porn actresses I guess which again, who cares?

Media is just being really goddamn petty.

It's all click bait. Desperate goddamn click bait. As soon as people flock to something these media sites look for a way to capitalize off it for page views. Like I used to be a big Gawker fan and they got taken down by Peter Thiel because they ousted him as gay for literally no reason so even though I loved the site they definitely got what they deserve and I hope it happens to someone else.

Many people believe, and have stated on mediums like FaceBook and the likes, that the shooting of Trayvon Martin was unjustified. Why does this not count as a "questionable" opinion if the contrary does?

This is the result of unfettered materialism, capitalism, consumerism: a system which chews up and spits out a human being just because it gets listless people to click on a news feed and drives one more trickle into the river of ad revenue. It doesn't feed on the shame and unhappiness, or exult in it; those would be somewhat human and understandable. It is indifferent to it; human suffering is a byproduct. This is the end game of alienation, callousness, and superficiality.

"What sphinx of cement and aluminum bashed open their skulls and ate up their brains and imagination?

Moloch! Solitude! Filth! Ugliness! Ashcans and unobtainable dollars! Children screaming under the stairways! Boys sobbing in armies! Old men weeping in the parks!

Moloch! Moloch! Nightmare of Moloch! Moloch the loveless! Mental Moloch! Moloch the heavy judger of men!

Moloch the incomprehensible prison! Moloch the crossbone soulless jailhouse and Congress of sorrows! Moloch whose buildings are judgment! Moloch the vast stone of war! Moloch the stunned governments!

Moloch whose mind is pure machinery! Moloch whose blood is running money! Moloch whose fingers are ten armies! Moloch whose breast is a cannibal dynamo! Moloch whose ear is a smoking tomb!

Moloch whose eyes are a thousand blind windows! Moloch whose skyscrapers stand in the long streets like endless Jehovahs! Moloch whose factories dream and croak in the fog! Moloch whose smoke-stacks and antennae crown the cities!"
- Howl, Allen Ginsberg -
"The Collectivist experiment is thoroughly suited (in appearance at least) to the Capitalist society which it proposes to replace. It works with the existing machinery of Capitalism, talks and thinks in the existing terms of Capitalism, appeals to just those appetites which Capitalism has aroused, and ridicules as fantastic and unheard-of just those things in society the memory of which Capitalism has killed among men wherever the blight of it has spread."
- Hilaire Belloc -

The media will eventually leave him alone because he is a meme now, and memes die fast. Demand for Ken Bone will get lower and lower, and eventually, some new meme will take his place. It's a vicious never-ending cycle of memes.

It was his own choice to go in the public spotlight. I'm not referring to his town hall question. I'm referring to him booking with all the media requests to put him on shows.

If he wants to keep his privacy, it is his responsibility, not the media's. What I'm asking you is to stop keeping a double standard.

Leslie Jones didn't deserve all the trolling she got for staring in a film someone didnt like. If this guy is getting trolled it should also stop. I however have zero problems with media vetting their guest opinions.
