Just another example that Europe is losing its patience. A refugee camp in Calais being closed and refugees being relocated or deported.

NOTE: Britain actually build carriers around this camp to mitigate illegal crossing of the channel.

I'm actually kind of torn on the issue.

I'm not for exclusion solely because where a person is from. Conversely, how do you 'vet' from a country without an infrastructure? Counter-conversely what about those from a country that are a minority from the 'targeted group'? Counter-counter-conversely what does a country expect when they pen people up in a camp?

It's easy to be bleeding heart. It's also easy to be protectionist. I don't really have 'the answer' except to look at our own history and follow what's worked reasonably well from bringing 'those people' (swarthy euros) in the late 19th early 20th century. And then hoping our culture is broad enough to assimilate.

my position is still for a safe zone of some kind, preferably in their own country, if you build it they will come. how many do they think will eventually return home when this will drag out for many years?

Refer to the Mosul thread and why I'm not an advocate. Lol

Britain should close its borders to anybody from the Middle-East who isn't filthy rich. Europe is being screwed by Muslims (both literally and figuratively), and Britain will go the same way unless it takes a hard line on immigration.
