I didnt think yall would actually be able to pull this one off, but f*ck me you somehow pulled it off. Nicely done.

Anyways im just here to produce a tally of what I think will happen over the next 4 years since Trump will probably become president and the GOP retains control of the house and senate.

1 - Dems will realize they will have to do a lot more to reach out to rural voters and their own union voters, since the anti-free trade message apparently has a lot of ring to people. Relying primarily on high turnout from minority voters, college educated voters, young voters, etc. doesnt quite cut it in terms of creating a majority electorate, yet.

2 - Hate crimes against minorities will climb since those who were labeled 'deplorables' have their victory and will be able to use that over others for the next 4 years. Hispanics and Muslims will probably have it the worst, gays a distant third

3 - The national debt absolutely explodes after Trump enacts his lower tax plan while still spending tremendous amounts of money on the military, a wall, and national infrastructure. This could trigger our credit rating to get downgraded again, causing all hell to break loose, but that depends on just how bad the deficit becomes

4 - We invade Syria or put enough boots on the ground to basically end up invading Syria as we did with Vietnam. That will end up costing a sh*tload of money as well and further exacerbate the debt problem.

5 - The economy goes kind-of to sh*t as we enter another recession, but not as bad as the one we just climbed out of. I put it at 8% unemployment tops, though it could legit be 15% or worse if all those other things I listed actually pan out and its not just me being negative.

6 - No return of manufacturing jobs to the US like Trump says would come, his supporters probably wont care that much anyways.

7 - Full repeal of Obamacare with no immediate plan to replace it with any kind of plan. Those who did manage to get insurance thanks to Obamacare in the past suddenly become uninsured and are stuck in limbo thanks to the lack of a replacement plan.

8 - Democrats become the party of obstructionists as they try to block anything and everything Republicans try to pass in terms of legislation. Ironic how quickly things can change.

9 - Planned Parenthood gets defunded and abortion gets increasingly restricted, but not flat out outlawed. The organization will still survive though since 90% of its business comes from operations that dont include abortion.

10 - Trump appoints 2 Supreme Court justices tops. One for Scalia's seat, another for whoever drops or retires from the bench next.

11 - Approval ratings of the US by countries abroad drops across the board. The only nation I can even think of that MIGHT like the US after 4 years of Trump is Israel. Russia will still detest the US, but try to use Trump as a useful idiot for their own agenda.

12 - 4 years from now Dems put forward a half-likable nominee who is not nearly as liked by Dems as Obama is but is still a step above Hillary. Will likely be a normal straight white male since America apparently cant handle a nominee who is a minority in some fashion.

13 - The US leaves some of its allies like European countries in Nato and Japan + S. Korea high and dry just to save a couple bucks on membership fees, marking a huge step backwards for US hegemony in the world as we become increasingly isolationist.

14 - Hillary Clinton wont be jailed as much as Trump would like to do that

15 - Common Core gets repealed, and that actually might not be such a bad thing

16 - A sizable increase in terrorist attacks and terrorist activity due to more aggressive US action in the Middle East, as well as the fact that Trump is the perfect propaganda tool for terrorists to use against the US.

17 - Someone tries to assassinate Trump, but it will be your regular run-of-the-mill assassination attempt where its just some idiot who drives by the white house and fires at it or something. Trump will still tweet about it as if Jesus himself intervened to protect him. Would happen only once or twice.

18 - Absolutely no progress will be made in protecting the environment or pushing for clean energy. If someone protests a pipeline, you can bet that Trump will greenlight it with executive orders the minute he gets the chance to do so.

To really cap it off, The ultra-liberal west coast states are still counting votes, making it possible that Hillary wins the popular vote while Trump wins the electoral vote. This indicates that Trump may not be the president America wanted, but the fact he came this far based on lies and deception means he is clearly the president America deserves

I don't often agree with you Imabench, but here I'm right along with you.

More right to work laws will be enacted and unions will be further weakened. Prices of just about all our hard goods, TVs, computers, appliances, clothing etc. will be 15% higher in cost. Our neo-liberal economy requires constant expansion to work, isolationism will only shrink our economy.

2 - Hate crimes against minorities will climb since those who were labeled 'deplorables' have their victory and will be able to use that over others for the next 4 years. Hispanics and Muslims will probably have it the worst, gays a distant third

This is a sad fact to be true. It will be felt for decades to come.

Big cuts need to be made for his tax plan to work. Look out SS and Medicare because that' the central place where most of the 20% needed in cuts can be had. $25B on a wall that has NO means to being reimbursed, never mind antagonizing our relations with Mexico. The infrastructure build is going to be privatized, well see tolls booths and unfinished projects everywhere.

4 - We invade Syria or put enough boots on the ground to basically end up invading Syria as we did with Vietnam. That will end up costing a sh*tload of money as well and further exacerbate the debt problem.

More war and trillions more spent for nothing. Iran will get into the mix and our tenuous relations with Turkey will fall on shakier ground. Putin will have a field day. The refugee problem will grow.

5 - The economy goes kind-of to sh*t as we enter another recession, but not as bad as the one we just climbed out of. I put it at 8% unemployment tops, though it could legit be 15% or worse if all those other things I listed actually pan out and its not just me being negative.

No f#cking sh#t. So much for job creation.

6 - No return of manufacturing jobs to the US like Trump says would come, his supporters probably wont care that much anyways.

No factory jobs will return to the US. Labor and building will still be cheaper overseas, consumers will be picking up the tariff costs. Companies will not invest in tooling and building at home. This takes years and there's too much risk when the Trump administration eventually turns over.

7 - Full repeal of Obamacare with no immediate plan to replace it with any kind of plan. Those who did manage to get insurance thanks to Obamacare in the past suddenly become uninsured and are stuck in limbo thanks to the lack of a replacement plan.

Heath care cost will rise at a faster rate due to the larger uninsured pool.

8 - Democrats become the party of obstructionists as they try to block anything and everything Republicans try to pass in terms of legislation. Ironic how quickly things can change.

There will be a lot of I told you so on the part of the Dems.

9 - Planned Parenthood gets defunded and abortion gets increasingly restricted, but not flat out outlawed. The organization will still survive though since 90% of its business comes from operations that dont include abortion.

More pressure placed upon poor women. Welfare rolls will rise. More demonizing of the poor as lazy will ensue.

Relations with France and the UK will strain over Syria, Trump will insist on more involvement on their part, straining their economies. Investment in the US dollar will shrink. The Euro will be favored for its stability.

12 - 4 years from now Dems put forward a half-likable nominee who is not nearly as liked by Dems as Obama is but is still a step above Hillary. Will likely be a normal straight white male since America apparently cant handle a nominee who is a minority in some fashion.

Here I disagree, Warren will become the new face of the Dem party. Got to get Pelosi out of the mix first.

13 - The US leaves some of its allies like European countries in Nato and Japan + S. Korea high and dry just to save a couple bucks on membership fees, marking a huge step backwards for US hegemony in the world as we become increasingly isolationist.

S. Korea will take advantage and do more hostile posturing toward N.Korea. N. Korea will drift more toward China and Russia for protection.

14 - Hillary Clinton wont be jailed as much as Trump would like to do that

True, but more millions of our tax dollars will be spent on investigations

15 - Common Core gets repealed, and that actually might not be such a bad thing

That really has to go

16 - A sizable increase in terrorist attacks and terrorist activity due to more aggressive US action in the Middle East, as well as the fact that Trump is the perfect propaganda tool for terrorists to use against the US.

His anti-Muslim vitriol will up the home grown indoctrination of disenfranchised Muslims who will be subject to hate crimes. Let's up the death toll of innocent US citizens.

17 - Someone tries to assassinate Trump, but it will be your regular run-of-the-mill assassination attempt where its just some idiot who drives by the white house and fires at it or something. Trump will still tweet about it as if Jesus himself intervened to protect him. Would happen only once or twice.

When the markets fall further, jobs lost and inflation takes hold, it will be a die hard Trumpster who comes to his senses that will fire the shot. But the rest of the Trumpster idiots will still believe because Trump was sent from God to save the unborn babies and to put all LGBTs through conversion therapy; that's all that really matters isn't it?

18 - Absolutely no progress will be made in protecting the environment or pushing for clean energy. If someone protests a pipeline, you can bet that Trump will greenlight it with executive orders the minute he gets the chance to do so.

Major environmental accidents will rise due to loosening of environmental protection laws. The G8 agreement will be torn up, but the Kyoto will stand because money in trading carbon credits is being made.

This just shows how our education system has really failed when it's citizens can no longer name the branches of government, nor knows how it works. This dumbing down of our citizenry is now truly felt. There will be more pop culture infusion into politics as time rolls on during the Trump presidency. Melania will spend millions on fashion and she will hit mag covers across the country as the new Jackie Kennedy. The Trumpters will not care because " it does'nt really matter as long as you've got a young and beautiful piece of a(r)ss;" Image over substance becomes the norm. We have become stupid and deserve what we got in the end. Too bad the wake up call will cost us dearly.

This indicates that Trump may not be the president America wanted, but the fact he came this far based on lies and deception means he is clearly the president America deserves

http://www.nytimes.com...

And what happens when Trump doesn't deliver on all the "Greatness" that was promised ? Well, he will need an escape goat, those damm Jews, I mean mexicans, elite liberal media, bleeding hearts, people who don't think we should kill some one just because they are the family of a terrorist.

Trump gives the impression to me when things don't happen as he has led people to believe, he is the type that is, it's everyone elses fault but mine.

Definitely surprised.

If the economy improves you can count out minorities and college educated. Both sides need to focus on the under 30 vote. Landslide victories.

2 - Hate crimes against minorities will climb since those who were labeled 'deplorables' have their victory and will be able to use that over others for the next 4 years. Hispanics and Muslims will probably have it the worst, gays a distant third

Interesting thought. It ignores that most hate crime is directed at Jews and Brown on White crime is higher than the other way around.

With control of the Senate and House, don't see this happening.

4 - We invade Syria or put enough boots on the ground to basically end up invading Syria as we did with Vietnam. That will end up costing a sh*tload of money as well and further exacerbate the debt problem.

Definitely looking forward to how he will handle Syria.

5 - The economy goes kind-of to sh*t as we enter another recession, but not as bad as the one we just climbed out of. I put it at 8% unemployment tops, though it could legit be 15% or worse if all those other things I listed actually pan out and its not just me being negative.

We already moving towards a recession curiosity of Obama. Student loan debt and ACA, start buying precious metals.

6 - No return of manufacturing jobs to the US like Trump says would come, his supporters probably wont care that much anyways.

This argument let's me know how truly stupid Americans are in the realm of economics.

7 - Full repeal of Obamacare with no immediate plan to replace it with any kind of plan. Those who did manage to get insurance thanks to Obamacare in the past suddenly become uninsured and are stuck in limbo thanks to the lack of a replacement plan.

House and Senate aren't going to just pull the rug out.

8 - Democrats become the party of obstructionists as they try to block anything and everything Republicans try to pass in terms of legislation. Ironic how quickly things can change.

They cheered Obama on as he abused the executive, it's so sweet.

9 - Planned Parenthood gets defunded and abortion gets increasingly restricted, but not flat out outlawed. The organization will still survive though since 90% of its business comes from operations that dont include abortion.

I see abortion being pushed back to the states, Roe v. Wade overturned, and if you want an abortion you may have to travel to a different state.

10 - Trump appoints 2 Supreme Court justices tops. One for Scalia's seat, another for whoever drops or retires from the bench next.

Cruz and a pin the tail on a judge on his list.

11 - Approval ratings of the US by countries abroad drops across the board. The only nation I can even think of that MIGHT like the US after 4 years of Trump is Israel. Russia will still detest the US, but try to use Trump as a useful idiot for their own agenda.

Perfect

12 - 4 years from now Dems put forward a half-likable nominee who is not nearly as liked by Dems as Obama is but is still a step above Hillary. Will likely be a normal straight white male since America apparently cant handle a nominee who is a minority in some fashion.

It's not that America can't handle it, it's that being a minority doesn't increase your electability.

13 - The US leaves some of its allies like European countries in Nato and Japan + S. Korea high and dry just to save a couple bucks on membership fees, marking a huge step backwards for US hegemony in the world as we become increasingly isolationist.

Perfect. Call us if you need us, but we have some internal work to do.

14 - Hillary Clinton wont be jailed as much as Trump would like to do that

Yes but her political career is over, good enough for me.

15 - Common Core gets repealed, and that actually might not be such a bad thing

Perfect

16 - A sizable increase in terrorist attacks and terrorist activity due to more aggressive US action in the Middle East, as well as the fact that Trump is the perfect propaganda tool for terrorists to use against the US.

Time will tell.

17 - Someone tries to assassinate Trump, but it will be your regular run-of-the-mill assassination attempt where its just some idiot who drives by the white house and fires at it or something. Trump will still tweet about it as if Jesus himself intervened to protect him. Would happen only once or twice.

Nah

18 - Absolutely no progress will be made in protecting the environment or pushing for clean energy. If someone protests a pipeline, you can bet that Trump will greenlight it with executive orders the minute he gets the chance to do so.

We have cleaner air than ever, more trees, more oil, more coal, and more natural gas. I will jump on the green train when renewable resources are being used to create renewable resources.

Look, even I don't know what's going to happen. If you asked anyone before Trump even put his name into the hat about the procedures and policies required to clean house in DC, you would get a gaggle of propositions. Predicting what the future would be like implementing those policies would be also new ground. It just hasn't happened before. How do you compare and relate? All I know is that this will be a historic first, the election of a total outsider hell bent on draining the swamp in DC.

You Posted,"Well played you bastards, well played.."
" LOOK OUT, THE SKY IS FALLING. ," said Chicken Little and the democrats sat teary eyed and bemoaned the fact that their girl didn't pull this one off as they had figured to do. Acorn , former prisoners having their voting rights restored just in time for them to vote democrat Hillary back into the White House again. Democrats wanted a" Fair" election so they refused to allow the voting rolls to be purged of the deceased, refused to require Photo IDs before someone could cast a vote, Early voting, Get out the vote, and all the other devious devices used successfully by the democrat machine somehow failed to deliver this time and Hillary ended up shown the door, she didn't win, but America and the citizens did this time around for a change. This election was about returning the government to the average citizen who had been forgotten by the Obama presidency and his leftist progressive policies, Americans just couldn't stand 12 years of the same divisive agendas of the Obama administration and so the average middle class citizens when their government wouldn't hear them and respond to their concerns voted, I bet the democrats hear them now.

There are several ways it could go. He could govern as a generic, pro-business Republican, as a populist 80s-90s democrat, or as a complete buffoon. I'm really really hoping for something in between the first two

Or is he intent on that? If he puts Christie, Gingrich, Sessions, Guliani, etc in administration positions then he becomes the swamp.

If he doesn't he still has the Congress swamp and cant do a damn thing about it, however I would tip my hat to him.

If he adds law to eliminate lobbying after office, I will also tip my hat off to him, but it is not far enough. All businesses and non profits and investments should be required to put in a blind trust, Any meetings with parties who have a financial relationship should require preauthorization with an ethics board while holding office.

In other words let's wait in see if the swamp is drained or it becomes the pig with lipstick on.

Trump was actually more liberal in the past before he pandered to win. He actually supported universal healthcare and was pro-gay rights. I'm really curious to see if his run is a true screw you to the establishment and he just does whatever he feels like with no real policy agenda at all, if he uses the GOP to push his agenda because they control a majority of everything, or if he literally only got elected just off knowing how to market to imbeciles.

I hate the guy, but I'm honest to God mind fuked as to what can happen. There is like so many possibilities.

*Like what happens with Asad, Aleppo, and Putin's push for foreign power. Will he pull a Gary Johnson and just forget it.

*Is Putin going to support him because he knows Trump will fail as a world leader and we are going to bicker for the next year over his legitimacy, thus giving Putin reign to do whatever.

*Is he actually going to build that fuking wall

Like I'm honestly still dumbfounded.

If I will give Trump any praise is that he is a brilliant tactician with knowing his audience. He read the outcome better than political pollsters who have been in the business for decades.

We just need to wait to see if your prediction is true and Trump is a genius.

There are several ways it could go. He could govern as a generic, pro-business Republican, as a populist 80s-90s democrat, or as a complete buffoon. I'm really really hoping for something in between the first two

To me Michael Moore hit the nail on the head with everything. I read this prior to that and thought he was crazy, but just saw a post and it reminded me of it. It sums up the election perfectly

Michael Moore

"Donald Trump came to the Detroit Economic Club and stood there in front of the Ford Motor executives and said, "If you close these factories, as you"re planning to do in Detroit, and build them in Mexico, I"m going to put a 35 percent tariff on those cars when you send them back, and nobody is going to buy them." It was an amazing thing to see. No politician, Republican or Democrat, had ever said anything like that to these executives.

And it was music to the ears of people in Michigan and Ohio and Pennsylvania and Wisconsin"the Brexit states. If you live here in Ohio, you know what I"m talking about. Whether Trump means it or not is kind of irrelevant, because he"s saying the things to people who are hurting. And it"s why every beaten-down, nameless, forgotten working stiff who used to be part of what was called the middle class loves Trump. He is the human Molotov cocktail that they"ve been waiting for, the human hand grenade that they can legally throw into the system that stole their lives from them.

And on November 8th, Election Day, although they"ve lost their jobs, although they"ve been foreclosed on by the bank"next came the divorce, and now the wife and kids are gone, the car has been repoed, they haven"t had a real vacation in years, they"re stuck with the [bleep] Obamacare Bronze Plan, where you can"t even get a [bleep] Percocet"they"ve essentially lost everything they had"except one thing, the one thing that doesn"t cost them a cent and is guaranteed to them by the American Constitution: the right to vote. They might be penniless, they might be homeless, they might be [bleep] over and [bleep] up. It doesn"t matter, because it"s equalized on that day. A millionaire has the same number of votes as the person without a job: one. And there"s more of the former middle class than there are in the millionaire class.
So, on November 8th, the dispossessed will walk into the voting booth, be handed a ballot, close the curtain and take that lever, or felt pen or touchscreen, and put a big [bleep] X in the box by the name of the man who has threatened to upend and overturn the very system that has ruined their lives: Donald J. Trump. They see that the elites who ruined their lives hate Trump. Corporate America hates Trump. Wall Street hates Trump. The career politicians hate Trump. The media hates Trump"after they loved him and created him, and now hate him. Thank you, media. The enemy of my enemy is who I"m voting for on November 8th. Yes, on November 8th, you, Joe Blow, Steve Blow, Bob Blow, Billy Blow, Billy Bob Blow"all the Blows get to go and blow up the whole goddamn system, because it"s your right. Trump"s election is going to be the biggest fuk you ever recorded in human history.

And it will feel good"for a day, yeah, maybe a week, possibly a month. And then, like the Brits, who wanted to send a message, so they voted to leave Europe, only to find out that if you vote to leave Europe, you actually have to leave Europe. And now they regret it. All the Ohioans, Pennsylvanians, Michiganders and Wisconsinites of Middle England"right?"they all voted to leave, and now they regret it, and over 4 million of them have signed a petition to have a do-over. They want another election. It ain"t gonna happen, because you used the ballot as an anger management tool. And now you"re fuked. And the rest of Europe? The rest of Europe? They"re like, "Bye, Felicia."
So, when the rightfully angry people of Ohio and Michigan and Pennsylvania and Wisconsin find out after a few months in office that President Trump wasn"t going to do a damn thing for them, it will be too late to do anything about it. But I get it. You wanted to send a message. You had righteous anger and justifiable anger. Well, message sent. Good night, America. You"ve just elected the last president of the United States."

Be reasonable, the democrats shout, and do it our way! Obviously, this time there weren't enough idiotic, racist bigots,on the democrats side, to get Hilary Clinton elected.

That might make a good script for another Moore fantasy "documentary."
