I just wanted to do a poll of some sort to maybe get a better view of the demographic here, mark whether your a Christian, Muslim, Judaist, or some other kind of theologic religion

OR

Mark whether your an Atheist or Agnostic

For either side if you could give a quick explanation why, it would be appreciated.
Ohh Lord How you love me, you change my heart and soul, renewing my mind into something I could never imagine, You make me strong when I am weak, you encourage me when I'm despaired, You stick by me when everyone deserts me, You are my Lord You are my God.

Charles: I'm not a Christian because I'm afraid of hell, I'm a Christian because I love Jesus.

Geolaureate: The Pope
He looks like a Sith lord, I don't trust him.

Charles0103: Just like my God, my faith won't change.

Atheist.

In brief
It seems to me that the burden of proof is upon the theists to make a case for God, instead of for me to make a case for there not to be a God. Evolution, morality, neurology, sociology, statistics and the nature of religion itself all cast doubt on the need for a God hypothesis, and the remit that such a God would exist. The deist God may exist.. but there is no real reason to suppose so.
I am voting for Innomen because of his intelligence, common sense, humility and the fact that Juggle appears to listen to him. Any other Presidential style would have a large sub-section of the site up in arms. If I was President I would destroy the site though elitism, others would let it run riot. Innomen represents a middle way that works, neither draconian nor anarchic and that is the only way things can work. Plus he does it all without ego trips.

Why don't we use the Dawkins scale since it succinctly summarizes it best. I feel most comfortable somewhere in between a Weak Atheist and a De-Facto Atheist. For the sake of the poll, list me as 5: Weak Atheist.

1. Strong Theist: I do not question the existence of God, I KNOW he exists.

2. De-facto Theist: I cannot know for certain but I strongly believe in God and I live my life on the assumption that he is there.

3. Weak Theist: I am very uncertain, but I am inclined to believe in God.

4. Pure Agnostic: God's existence and non-existence are exactly equiprobable.

5. Weak Atheist: I do not know whether God exists but I'm inclined to be skeptical.

6. De-facto Atheist: I cannot know for certain but I think God is very improbable and I live my life under the assumption that he is not there.

7. Strong Atheist: I am 100% sure that there is no God

On this scale, I would be a strong theist.

And out of the theist religions, I'm Christian. Greek Orthodox Christian, to be exact.

Atheist/Pandeist.

I do not believe in a "theistic" God of any sort - hence, Atheism. I subscribe to the aforementioned "Ignosticism" on that matter to further describe my Deism.

I am a "Pandeist" in regard to the idea that the universe was created by an impersonal, abstract force that can be regarded as "divine". All the creations of the universe also compose the abstract force that constantly creates change, and so all things can be considered "divine" in their own regards.

I'm number two on the scale. I am a nondenomentail Christian, though I've wavered some.

God came up to them and died or simply god came up to them.

I'd consider that proof.

I have absolute proof, unbreakable and unchangeable, but you cannot receive it until you have achieved it yourself - it cannot in any shape of form be communicated from one to another. This is a beautifully just Plan. Go for it!

Then surely the total lack of evidence means justifying a 7 for strong atheists I take it?

Yeah. It's hard to be a Pandeist and be on "Dawkin's Scale". Opinions on where I'd fall according to the scale?
