Oh really. I want to debate someone right now about the New World Order.
And the role it is playing in fulfilling biblical prophecy.
Check out my last question. If you want some proof as to who and what group
of people may have written pieces of the Bible, then see below.

Question: Atheists and the Bible.

Atheists are no brighter than theists but they do track religious matters and often know more about religions than theists do. They may appear brighter because they do not have to stick to the dogma or thinking that theist are afraid to question.

That is part of the reason that theists appear rather stupid sometimes.

It does not help the position of atheism to attack the intelligence of theists. There are some very intelligent and well spoken theists on DDO. I would be surprised if the percentages for example of the top debaters was biased in favor of either.

Anyone who doesn't keep it real tends to look stupid from the position of someone who does.

If you take a truly "intelligent" theist, it becomes apparent that they pathetically cling onto ideas that they know deep down are utter horse shite. Whatever their reasons, I don't know. Could be for social reasons, for other matters of personal gain, or it could just be because they are poosies. Of course, there is the distinct possibility they just haven't figure it out yet. My opinion of whether they are truly intelligent or not would be contingent on their age.

Also, for the record, most atheists are just as stupid as theists, and I make fun of them just as much, if not more.

Stupid is as stupid says.
Any that say something stupid should have it pointed out to them.
Believer of not, we are our brothers keepers after all.

Proverbs 3:12
For whom the LORD loveth he correcteth; even as a father the son in whom he delighteth.

We are to emulate God after all.

Even to the point of tough love.

Intelligent to me means that they have the ability to learn and be educated.

That does not make them smart.

This clip is not so much directed at the smart people but to the intelligent ones and those that can be educated but never learn to put 2 and 2 together on their own to make 4.

I'm not even really sure if you are technically a theist from the little I've heard. At least not what I would consider a theist. We'd have to get into defining terms, and crap like that. O

Challenge the prominent theists on this board and show they are stupid, I think it may not go as you expect. Dawkin's by the way is not someone you want to quote on regarding theism. He is decentin presenting evolution to a lay audience, but in regards to philosophy and theology he is fairly ignorant. He actually considers "What caused God" as a defeater of ontological arguments.

Over time, I am sure that the theist here and I will butt heads.

We will be able to judge them if they come up with some of the great stupid statements that some theist use.

IE. God can do whatever he wants with us. He owns us.
God is God. He does not have to do the moral thing.

What isn't smart is grouping an entire diverse group of people and ask a question about them as a whole when you obviously cannot answer for all.

Depends what you mean. If you mean "Have Atheists been shown to have higher average IQs and a higher win ratio/percentile than religious individuals?", the answer would be yes.

You can collect them from the leaderboard... though you have to wade through about 30 pages of people with a 100% win ratio from their 1 debate to get any useful information - lol.

That difference is statistically significant, however I think it would be hard to argue this is meaningful as it is more likely DDO is not a representative random sample.

There whole population of DDO has no statistically significant difference from the real world.

When performing such statistical analysis you have to check for other sources of correlation. For example is there anything about DDO which would encourage theist debaters vs atheist debaters?
