Maybe you will want to watch this video as a prelude to the upcoming debate. It is a work of art. Jack Evans (church of Christ preacher) really works this Islam guy over good!

Response: It should be called Christianity vs."The Nation of Islam" debate, not Islam.

The Koran Claims it is blasphemus for God to have a son, the Koran then says allah sent us the gospel and the Torah. The Gospel talks about how christ is the son of God therefore Allah is blasphemus, and actually so does the Torah. Islam broken down. Now lets build of Christianity.

The Qur'an did not claim that the Gospels in possession of Christians of its time were the original ones. It says that those were (and still are) the ones that were edited and corrupted by people. It is called Biblical errancy. Furthermore, what the Qur'an refers to is the Tawrat and Injeel that were revealed by God to Moses and Jesus (peace be upon them), but that those became corrupted. Therefore, when your gospels say "son of God," it has nothing to do with the Injeel the Qur'an talks about.

I don't really like putting the Quran against the Bible because Christians don't follow the Quran and we Muslims do not follow the Bible. So citing our books is not really going to get anywhere. To me, Christians have a hard time understanding that we don't really care what your Bible says. We consider it a book with some truth from God and some error from men. It tells you in Deuteronomy never to make God into the image of anything on the face of the earth, but you say God violated this and the First Commandment and became a man who you all make pictures of on a regular basis. We Muslims believe it is wrong to worship a man. This is a basic element of our faith. Worshiping anything other than the God of Abraham is blasphemy. It says so in your Bible. Just as in your Bible it tells you that your women are to cover their heads when they pray. So I mostly would ask that you respect that we have our own book and we are bound by it. We Muslims are not bound by your book, so it is silly for you cite the Bible to me and expect me to go along. You worship a man and you believe it is in the Bible. Our book tells us in explicit terms to NEVER worship anything other than the one that Abraham prayed to, that Moses prayed to, that Jesus prayed to and the One Muhammad prayed to....

Peace
