Why did God divide the people of Babel?

I know that most here do not believe this myth.

There are usually some moral reason given for God acting against mankind.

I cannot dither out any good moral reason for Babel.

Can you?

Can you?:

No, it was an ad hoc reason to explain why and how there are different languages.

Why make God look like an interfering a hole though. Was that the intent?

If you recall the interactions of the Fallen Angels in the generation of the Nephilim. A unified humanity would not seek after God.
They would unite to solve their problems rather than seeking God.
As the scripture states there will be no end to what they can accomplish if they are united into one purpose.

Humanity would have sought after its own power sources rather than God as a powersource.

God was doing it to hold us back from ourselves.

I know the cries from you now that will be spewing forth from you like bile.... to quote you "what an a hole".
What kind of immoral God would hold humanity back yada yada.

The point is God is bigger and our purpose is life is to learn how to make moral judgements properly (summarized) not become a better race of people.

These angels of yours seem to have forced God to genocide the whole earth.

He would have known this in advance of the first angel coming to earth.

Why then did he allow the angels to use the earth as a brothel instead of his allowing such.

That would have been the intelligent route for your genocidal hero.

Would you put a fox in your hen house.
Your idiot farmer God did and then genocided man because of his foolish error.

Would you kill your child for the murder he will commit 20 years from now if you had all knowledge and knew for a fact he would commit that murder?

Preventing entry is not to kill.

It is protecting your children and not putting the fox in the hen house.

Reciprocity is fair play.

I answered your question now have the good manners to answer mine or we are done.

I did answer your question. It was quite a thorough post.
Did you read it?

So you are saying you would lock your son into a room and never let him meet other people thus stopping him from being able to "choose" to become a murderer?
