First two links funny, second link just someone lashing out.

These made me smile too.

Those were both weak. The first one was a little ignorant......a good part of philosophy is dependent on the operations of reality (aka. science). Theology which interposes and contradicts its unfounded assertions with the laws of nature gives way to scientific refutation. A scientist is more qualified to speak about the origin of life than the Religious zealot or the philosopher. Actually, that first picture is an insult to the Christian that created it.

1. The "operations of reality" would be the subject matter of science, not science itself.

2. How do you know that a Christian created that?

3. What assertions does "theology" make? And when does "theology" violate the laws of nature?

And to add-on: there's absolutely no reason at all except a weak appeal to scientism to think that science exhaustively describes all operations of reality in any case.

And further, there's absolutely no reason at all except naive faith to think that religion describes all or any operation of reality whatsoever :)

These don't really seem to be "memes" as much as standard "bashing religion" and "bashing atheism" (refering to the second post but whats-his-username). As such, they are just comical jabs to point out perceived irony.

Yes, irony is supposed to be the humorous root of many memes.

You really don't think science has the potential to explain all of reality accurately?

I guess I just don't see that in many memes, like "over 9,000" and "the cake is a lie" and "cyan cat (or whatever)" and "lolcat" and many others that actually reach meme status.
