I noticed whenever Republicans use the Bible to explain why they're against say abortion or gay marriage the liberal establishment media screams bloody murder about the "separation of church and state" but when Obama quotes Jesus at the National Prayer Breakfast in order to try to justify taxing the rich there is silence from the leftist watchdogs.

What gives?

I don't know but I find it very ironic that obama is quoting anything from the bible in order to push his agenda:

I just find it laughable that the liberal media can call itself a legitimate institution after showing such blatant double standards. It's completely ridiculous.

Obama only uses religion to tailor to his needs and nothing more and that just pisses me off like nothing else.

The people who tear the Republicans apart when they say this are the left wing establishment media. They are highly favourable to Obama and all of his comments, regardless of source. Ergo, they will not tear him apart.

Dude...

He's not using it because he believes that the bible is a legitimate reason, he's using it because Republicans (generalization) believe it is a legitimate reason/source/whatever.

He's pointing out your own double standard, not committing one of his own.

Did you know that people who do not watch the news AT ALL are more informed about current events than viewers of Fox News?

It wasn't a slip up, as he was trying to clarify at the end of the video; it was actually a slip up of the interviewer for "correcting" him. Obama was asserting that McCain had not insinuated he was a Muslim...

That is a subjective understanding. Also, most educated people understand that "the bible" is not a source. Society has the right to pass laws, it cannot make the LAW. (Marriage in the US is not religious in law, it is merely a voidable contract for consortium.)

LOL I do not watch Fox. I do notice that you need to have everyone and everything in the boxes of your own creation or you get very confused.
