"An entity should either be forbidden entirely, one should be allowed, or any number (presumably, to the limit of available storage) of them should be allowed."

I found this rule regarding software interesting because it could be applied to reality as a whole if you think about it.

1. Zero (nothing exists, or somehow a different rearranged version of nothing exists )
2. One (one set of reality exists)
3. An infinite set of realities exist

To invoke a supernatural world on top of one universe would be invoking two sets of realities which just seems messy.

Now I know that a software rule doesn't necessarily apply to reality, but I saw a connection, and it made me think none the less.
