If God exists, he can change to become faulted.
This is an inherent fault, meaning God is faulted.
THEREFORE
God cannot be perfect if he exists.

Is this a sound argument

Neither sound nor valid.

You should list the hidden premises.

1. God is omnipotent (can perform any action)
2. The act of becoming faulted is an action
3. If God exists, then God can become faulted.
4. **The ability to become faulted is a fault**
5. Therefore, God cannot be faultless.

Problem:

The ability to become faulted is not a fault, because you are designating this as a willful action of God. The innate ability to make oneself faulty if so chosen is not a fault, because it is not an action that takes place or ever has to take place.

This makes it an invalid as well as an unsound argument.

However, this argument can be defeated in many other ways, but we can talk about that when it comes up. Good topic though, very interesting.

God is utterly Holy, utterly Just and utterly Good:
He CANNOT be anything else.
This is why, when Adam chose to sin, he automatically disconnected from God, (died spiritually) and why there MUST be such a place as hell:
If free will exists and we choose sin and God cannot be sinful then; there must be a place for people to CHOOSE to be sinful. FOREVER.

1Peter1:15
But as He who called you is Holy, you also be Holy in all your conduct.

The Cross.. the Cross.
