Why do you believe God would inspire the Song of Solomen to be written as an inerrant book?

The same reason why all of the books are inerrant.

You consider Toni Morrison divine?

He's a pretty good writer, and has appeared on Oprah's booklist more than once, but I don't know about divine.

haha Toni Morrison is indeed a pretty good writer. But I think Authorship of the Song of Songs being referenced is Solomon, also the author of Proverbs and Ecclesiastes.

That still allows the question as to the level of divinity that should be applied to it, and I wont make any attempt to answer that...

It's a love song. Why would it be innerant.

I've always been curious, how do inerrantist say that God has kept scripture inerrant? I could go out and copy the Bible and fill it with errors. What is preventing me from doing so?

Further, what prevented the copyists from inadvertently doing so?

That is like saying 'it is a letter why would it be innerant?'. Nothing about the nature of the writing would indicate for or against its innerancy.

As to the purpose of the letter, it is a poetic writing about God's love for the Church. It is meant as a book that speaks to the individual through a personal revelatory sense. It is not to the Church corporate.

They say it's inerrant in it's original manuscripts. God didn't prevent further scribal and copyist errors and all that. *shrug*

Poetry cannot be errant or Inerrant.
