Does anyone have evidence for the existence of the soul? Besides this -->

There were some experiments by Dr. Duncan. He claimed that the souls weighed 26 gms. However there were flaws in the methodology. The weights were old fashioned, the timing of measurement was controversial, and he claimed that dogs had no soul.

I'd like to see the experiments being repeated, though.

RA made a thread about NDE's recently. I'm not sure if his intent was to discuss the soul but that might relate.

The very name 'Near Death Experience' further bolsters the point that no one has come back from the dead to tell us about it. At any rate, there is little scientific evidence to explain what goes on in these experiences, so several hypotheses have been proposed; I'll wait for more information before I exclaim, "OMG THERE'S A GOD AFTER ALL!!"

Dogs are people too... The weight might have been an excretion when the patient died xD

Call them Post Death Experiences, if you prefer. The name is really the least important aspect here. You asked for evidence, not proof.

Kind of. It is believed to be the sweat usually because as soon as the person dies, everything stops working, dishing out all the sweat. Plus, dogs sweat by panting, so they can't sweat when their bodies stop working- thus explaining the discrepancy. Duncan claimed to have considered it, however.

Umm.. yeah. I don't think anything should be just written off like that.

I personally would prefer research into most of the claims by ancient texts. Personally. Skepticism is a painful position to hold.
