but lets really brake it down...

lucifer was meant to be the name of the most beautiful angel.

when exiled from hell he was never called lucifer again... ie devil ect ect

god meant to give the most beautiful name to the most beautiful angel in existence...
so therefore calling your child lucifer is as if calling him the most beautiful name that ever existed...

think about it

Wrong. Lucifer is Latin for "Light bearer". The association of the name with the devil comes from Isiah 12: "How you have fallen from heaven, O morning star, son of the dawn!" and the idea that this refers toa fallen angel (although the passage never in any way identifies the morning star with as an angel).

when exiled from hell he was never called lucifer again

Since people call the devil "Lucifer" all the time, this statement is obviously wrong.

think about it

I already have. The question is stupid. The answer remains the same. By calling a child "Lucifer" you in practice call the child "Devil". Doing so would be a great disservice to the child, and is immoral.

Now *you* think about it.

The end.
So prove me wrong, then.

yes but in his angel form he is Lucifer... in his fallen state he is a snake, dragon, devil

if he was the most beautiful crasher ever... shouldn't that name be one of honor and not of shame.

Since people call the devil "Lucifer" all the time, this statement is obviously wrong.

no biblically it is not... people say thing incorrectly all the time... the bible is clear that Lucifer was the most beautiful angel... after his fall he was no longer called Lucifer

the question can not be that stupid if you can not really answer it other then your personal experience with the name Lucifer...
which sorry to break it to you...
is wrong.

you are wrong... think about it and come back... if not ... oh well

Lucifer does not equal the devil

Lucifer was given the most beautiful name as an angel... he fell from grace and no longer was called that...

intern Lucifer would still be the most beautiful name to god...

if you need something else broken to you...
if Satan came into you presence right now, you would probably bow to him. as he is said to be the most beautiful thing created...
he would not be red with horns

Religious people are people who are happy to offend people and attempt to convert you but get aghast if you challenge their almighty words. If you have a child, register him as Lucifer, but call him Luke.

"Lucifer" is nothing more than an ancient Latin name for the morning star, the bringer of light

which i do believe christians call jesus the same thing...

Revelation 22:16: "I Jesus have sent mine angel to testify unto you these things in the churches. I am the root and the offspring of David, and the bright and morning star."

so jesus calls himself lucifer (morning star) in the book of rev

so.......

If you had actually ever read the bible you would have realized that is not a Bible verse. I did a quick google search, and it is in fact something out of a book about the origin of Satan by Richard T. Ritenbaugh.

Are you even literate?

Yes, but the question is if you are literate, and I still find myself doubting this.

Call your child whatever the hell you want if you ask me. Don't expect him/her to like you for it when they realize what a d*ck you are for doing it. They can always change it when they come of age.

That's not what the word forbid means.

To forbid means to involve this:

It came to be at its height. It was commanded to command. It was a capital before its first stone was laid. It was a monument to the spirit of man.

Smoke on the water..

That was Deep Purple. And it was about a fire on a boat they were playing on (coincidently enough, with Frank Zappa.)
