John 20:19 "On the evening of that first day of the week, when the disciples were together, with the doors locked for fear of the Jewish leaders, Jesus came and stood among them and said, "Peace be with you!"

Reflections:

How many times in our life we feel ourselves locked in worries and fear, unable to be free.

Maybe, we feel abandoned by our friends, relatives, family, loved ones and God.

In these situations, Jesus still loves you and comes to you, calling you by your name, saying "Peace be with you!"

In Peace to all,

Next.. Jesus empowers them...These men were afraid of their own shadows until they receive Jesus' gift!
John 20:21
Again Jesus said, "Peace be with you! As the Father has sent me, I am sending you."
22 And with that he breathed on them and said, "Receive the Holy Spirit.
23 If you forgive anyone"s sins, their sins are forgiven; if you do not forgive them, they are not forgiven."

Jesus speaking to his Apostles "SENT them out"!
He gave them the "Holy Spirit" with all the AUTHORITY of God to forgive men' sins OR to retain their sins!!

"Peace be with you" = "Shalom aleikhem" (Hebrew) = "Assalam Alaikum" (Arabic)

This is how Muslims and religious Jews greet each other. Christians too should use it rather than Hi and Hello.
The Holy Quran 29:19-20

See they not how Allah originates creation, then repeats it: truly that is easy for Allah.

Say: "Travel through the earth and see how Allah did originate creation; so will Allah produce a later creation: for Allah has power over all things.

In fact, prophet Jesus (Peace be upon him) himself greeted with "Peace be with you". In the Gospel of John, chapter 20:19, Jesus said: "Jesus said to them again, "Peace be with you". As the Father has sent me, even so I send you."

But what about the thousands innocent children who die of hunger every day, the thousands of people who grieve over lost ones and and along comes an invading army and kills them also. where is Jesus then ?
