For some unknown reason, I sat through the entire first video and didn't see a single thing that Christianity teaches. Useless propoganda for the goats that fall for it.

Roger Waters <3 fvcking genius. When I saw the title this immediately sprang to mind but I couldn't believe that's what you were actually referencing.

I see lots of blood in the first video, so there's no way I'm watching either.

No point in it. Just the same old religion causes violence argument that we've heard ad nauseum, put in pictures of things that violent men do and set to music. All under the guise of "God wants this".

That's not unreasonable. Giraffes are wonderful.

Even I want giraffes. If God wants giraffes, why can't he have them?

So nothing in the videos has anything to do with the hypocrisy of religion, or religion in general?
Remember it is the followers who are the Church.

The goats are gonna believe what they want to believe because we all know how much more they know than us, so argument is futile.

The question is what GOD wants, not what the followers of religion want.

In any religions perspective, what God wants cannot be known by man. You see God's will is the Eternal Law which is unknowable and only hinted at in scriptures. :)

Btw, that vid is fan made so the original is quite different with none of the visual and hardly any of the background audio. What Roger Waters was trying to convey was different than the vid might suggest which is obvious from the interview and the theme plays out through other songs in the album also.

You really don't get it do you?
The video is about people blinded by faith, who have killed in the name of God.
Also about people who have used their status as religious leaders to abuse.
But thats OK......
This is some big game being played out for the amusement of your God,who can do anything at anytime if he so chooses, but chooses not to.
Or is it all that it's a wager, a bet between god and Satan.
God is a gambling man?

And because of a few extremists you have a hatred for the billions of others who actually follow the "Thou shalt not kill" commandment, and label us all killers. You're the one who doesn't get it. You're a goat falling prey to the propoganda.

You think I have hatred for billions of people?
I am shocked by your response. Why are you trying to make this personal?

What does any of those people have to do with the Christian God, aside from Bush being a POTUS who's country was attacked by terrorists??

You insult the religious beliefs of every human on this planet and you wonder why I think you have hatred for us??

History shmistory. Most groups have violent history's if they were around before societies became civilized. The real question is how did that history have any effect on your life today?? Does Christianity threaten you in any way??

Guys, assuming the Christian God exists, we can't know what God wants. Quite honestly, mistake me if I'm wrong, but the last time God directly spoke to a prophet was Moses (as in not just through dreams or signs, but directly as in "face to face"). Since God is not directly speaking to man, then we cannot definitively say "this is what god wants." The best we can do is interpret the "signs and dreams" which God would send to us. Scriptures allow you to get a sense of moral/divine law. But, eternal law (the will of God), is forever incomprehensible to people. So what God wants, we cannot know. This is assuming the Christian God exists of course (as to not usher in that wonderful debate...)
