The end of something is undoubtedly near.

That's one of the benefits of incredibly vague prophecies: They're almost impossible to prove wrong.

Well, that is the thing about prophecies. They're ambiguous enough that if you bend your mind into the right shape, or take the right pharmaceuticals, or are in the right emotional and physical state, they might seem true.
