To recap what I have previously mentioned; the Sumerian Creator God Enki (Lord of Earth), who was god of the seas, was referred to by the Akkadians and Babylonians as Ea. Ea was equated with the Semitic God El. In the Semitic pantheon Yahu was a theonym for El. Yahu is the origin of YHWH which means "He (Y) creates (HWH)". Also Enki's sacred number was 40.
Enki was known as the Confuser of languages because he "Brought contention into the speech of man that (until then) had been one."
The Semitic pantheon was also known as "elohim" meaning "God (el) of the (H) sea (yam)".

In Hebrew "Adam" means "Man" and "Eve" means "Life".

In the bible it says
On the 6th day God said "Let us make man in our image, after our likeness"

"YHWH elohim formed man of the dust of the ground, and breathed into his nostrils the breath of life; and man became a living soul."
In Islam it is translated as clay, rather than dust.

The reason given for the creation of man was to "to till the ground" and tend to the garden of Eden.

In the Sumerian creation myth, the Anunnaki or seven gods who decree ruled the earth and the Igigi or minor gods served them. The Igigi were put to work digging the watercourses of the Sumerian version of eden. The Igigi eventually revolted against the Anunnaki (much like the watchers of the hebrew text). In response Enki created man to replace the Igigi as manual labor.
Enki assembled a team of "fashion servants of the gods" to help him mold man from clay, which he than placed in the womb of Ninmah (the earth mother).
The text says "Through Ninmah the image of the gods were bound upon man. Without the sperm of a male she gave birth to offspring, to the embryo of mankind."

According to the Sumerian text, Enki made man imperfect, but regardless of what ever their imperfection was they had a place within society.

The bible says that after God created man from the dust he created Eve (Life) from Adam's rib.

According to the Sumerian text Enki became sick from eating poisonous vegetation. He ate 8 plants and was struck with 8 illnesses. Ninmah than bore Enki 8 children in order to heal his 8 illnesses. Each time she asked what hurt him. In order to heal Enki's rib pain she gave birth to Ninti. Ninti may be translated as either "the lady who makes life" or the "lady of the rib". In Sumeria "Ti" could mean either "rib" or "to make live."

According to the bible Eve ate from the tree of life, which God said would kill them. Eve means life in Hebrew, and eve was created from Adam's rib. In Sumeria Enki ate from a tree and was dieing and the lady of the rib/life was created to healed Enki.

Now the reason the story could have been altered was because of Moses' upbringing as a prince of Egypt.

In Egypt the Creator god Atum created himself from the primordial waters. Atum was the first god, just as Adam was the first man. The creator god Enki created the first man in Sumerian myth, but the Egyptians fused the first man and creator god establishing Atum. Therefore instead of the Creator god Enki creating the Adam, the Creator god Atum created Atum.

Atum's consort was Iusaaset (the great one who comes forth). The symbol of Iusaaset was the acacia tree. The Egyptians considered the acacia tree to be "the tree of life"; often referred to as "the tree in which life and death are enclosed."

The Sumerian text does not mention how long it took to create the world.
Although the Sumerian myth does not say creation took 7 days, the creation myth does mention a flood that last 7 days. The god Enlil decided to destroy humanity because man had become too noisy. Enki decided to save humanity, so he spoke to Atrahasis through reed walls, and told him to build an Ark and fill it with animals. After 7 days and 7 nights the boat landed on mount Nimush. Atrahasis released 3 birds; a dove, a swallow, and a raven. When the raven did not return he released all the animals.
In Sumerian myth Adam was not the only man created. Therefore Atrahasis is both the Sumerian Moses and the Sumerian Adam. The reason Moses' flood lasted 40 days and 40 nights is a tribute to Enki, who's sacred number is 40.

DanT you said.. According to the bible Eve ate from the tree of life, which God said would kill them. Eve means life in Hebrew, and eve was created from Adam's rib. In Sumeria Enki ate from a tree and was dieing and the lady of the rib/life was created to healed Enki.

Eve was created from Adam Rib to show "ALL' people are decedent of Adam!
DanT ALL are born children of Adam until they are re-BORN children of God!

God has ONLY one child, he has JUST ONE!!! Not two children NOT ten!!
DanT Ten children would be nine TO MANY!

God' one and ONLY Child is Jesus!
DanT To become "Child of God" you must be reformed, you must be formed again; Into the body of Jesus! Being re-Formed into Jesus' holy living forever body saves all!
To be reformed you need water once again!
Water formed the earth the first time and it is again needed to RE-FORM the dust of the earth into a new body, the body of the second Adam: Jesus!

2 Peter 3:5
But they deliberately forget that long ago by God"s word the heavens came into being and the earth was formed out of water and by water.

Baptism with water formed Adam and it reforms Adam' children into God' Children!
