Agreed. It's pretty awesome that this is the first time it's happene since the eleventh century.

The problem, I think, is that Papa over in Rome pretended to have some kind of authority over the Patriarch of Constantinople - or vice versa. Which was it? Anyway, if they both would quit pretending to have any authority, the problem would self-resolve.
