Here's his facebook [https://www.facebook.com...], and here's his twitter [https://twitter.com...]. Would God communicate to us through an incompetent ancient tome filled with ridiculous stories, inconsistencies, contradictions, and irrelevancies? No, he'd communicate to us through social media using terse language to answer our deepest questions.

This is his latest revelation: https://sphotos-a.xx.fbcdn.net... Hear that Rational_Thinker? Now stop talking about theories of time and quantum physics!

Oh my, what is it with you and this topic? You just don't get it... :(
Why should God have to prove anything to you? Or anyone for that matter? If you believe you believe if you don't you don't. Either way someone's gonna pay the penalty for their rebellious lives and the others won't have to because someone already did it (paid for rebellious lives) for them.

Either way someone's gonna pay the penalty for their lack of knowledge as to how to cook proper spaghetti and others won't because they read the holy cook book.

Tulip, can you make competent spaghetti? You should learn just in case the FSM is real!

Either you don't understand what WSA is saying, or you don't understand what Jacob Barnett is saying. Either way, they have nothing to do with each other. Jacob's speech is about how our current education system is crap. WSA's post is being satirical about the idea of an omni-being using a horrible method of communication such as a book.

Why did Jesus only pay for certain people's rebellious lives and not others? That's pretty messed up.

You know better than that lol, but the "payment" must be applied, that's how it becomes valid for you.

Jesus paid the price for the whole world, but unfortunately 3/4ths of the worlds ignorance draws them to rebel and leaves their debt unpaid for because people choose to be disobedient and rebel.. Those who obey and honor God have had their debt paid full because of Christ.. It's not Gods fault people are disobedient and rebellious to Him..

You used a butchered form of Pascals Wager. He showed the absurdity of it, by making satire out of it, and also showing the major flaw in Pascals wager; that it doesn't account for other religions.

I'm neither disobedient, nor rebellious. I simply do not believe your god exists, and that is entirely his fault, if he actually exists.

I had been an atheist for many moons, persecuting Christians by day, eating babies by night, always longing for... something more. Without a God I had no purpose or meaning in my life, constantly searching for a direction that never appeared. I broke down and asked God to reveal Himself to me to communicate His existence and His plan for me. Then I found His Holy Twitter and Facebook accounts, which I should've found years ago when wallowing in self-pity and depression. Needless to say my life has been imbued with purpose, meaning, and happiness after the relationship with God removed the sewage effluent that was my dark, atheist avatar. Praise be to the One!

Not quite. "Other religions" is rather vague. So I clarified it. I've noticed people who talk religion like to take advantage of ambiguity.

TULIP, this is the one thing that made me start believing. I take offense to your comments.

My apologies for offending you, but I'm only speaking truth honey bunny. If I may, what do you mean by, "this is the one thing that made me start believing?"

You seem very fixated on eating people.

Maybe he's a vorarephile?

People are f*cked up.

Are you just realizing this now?

No, he'd communicate to us through social media using terse language to answer our deepest questions.

Why did Jesus only pay for certain people's rebellious lives and not others? That's pretty messed up.

Can't the same be said in regards to any other faith with the same dogma attached to it. Couldn't Muslims say the same about Christians, or any other religious affiliation? The all claim the same absolute truth while only being founded on faith. Faith alone leaves the opportunity for any belief to be true, as long as one has a strong enough conviction. I find it highly problematic that god would be so harsh towards those who are incapable of knowing Jesus because of being in remote locations such as tribal groups and so on? If we were judged based on or religious affiliations, wouldn't there have to be something more substantial to base "truth" on? A universal truth that doesn't require belief or even encountering a missionary of that faith to know said god. If I believed in a god, it would have to be from a universal inclusive god in which it didn't matter which god it was you believe in but that you held one or many gods as your personal god. I find monotheism difficult to believe because it claims such certainty from only it's own doctrine. Creating a circular logic in regards to it's validity.

No, you do not understand. This is an obvious troll OP, so I TROLLED IT.

Ok, so you don't know what trolling is, or how it works.

LOL, There is a universal law book on how to troll. I tend to create my own style of trolling. I think I did and provided a smart 12 year at the same time. The lesson:
This OP is just trolling
A 12 year old is wiser than most secular teaching

So the claim that God speaks through facebook & twitter is rejected out of hand by some people, yet some of those same people have no problem believing and even condemning others for not believing that God spoke through various people and documents a few thousands years ago.

Intellectually honest ? I think not.
