The reality of being tempted to do evil is mentioned in the bible. That is one thing you can verify scientifically. People are enticed to do malevolent things. Psychology, biology and sociology would be the top three fields for research. Do scientists know everything about the phenomenon of how one even begins the process of doing evil? Occam's Razor favors complex, convoluted explanations...wait; no, it doesn't. Which is more convoluted, spiteful demons or some faulty brain wiring. Both are plausible, not only one can be the root, not just a symptom.

Occams razor states take the explanation with the least assumptions when comparing explanations with equal explanatory power is too be preferred.

God did it, or demons did it, is always an "easier" explanation than any other scientific explanation.

Easier explanation doesn't equal less assumptions.

Very good catch there, the problem is, is that psychology, biology and sociology only evaluate what's on the surface and physical effects. "Scientists" are ONLY equipped to research physical properties and physical manifestations but they will never uncover and discover spiritual truths and realities. The flesh cannot perceive the spirit nor will it ever, they are hidden within God and the spiritual world and nature.
We go to school and read books and theories to be educated and to possess knowledge and credentials to obtain what we feel is important. The same is for spiritual matters and things of God. We have to read and be taught and learn spiritual aspects and truths but they come from God and what God supplies 1 Corinthians 2:10-14.
