What a day that will be when the entire Bible-rejecting people from the beginning of time till the end shall stand before God-a being so holy he offends the "good" men of today- to be judged and cast into Hell for ultimately proving to be unholy and filthy by the Bible's standards. Just one lie is enough to make a man or woman filthy compared to God and Jesus Christ, and worthy of eternal fire. Yes, what a day that will be for all the skeptics to finally admit what they're heart has known all along-that they are a sinner that justly deserves Hell, and thus at that moment, they shall be cast into the Lake of Fire forever(Rev 20:15). Have a nice day.

Well, don't sound too excited about others' eternal suffering. People might start to think you're a little psycho in the head.

I know, right? Because lying is filthy, but genocide is holy. Why didn't I realize that before? And, since god condoned slavery, that must be holy, too! What a truly good being.

What a day that will be when the entire Mi-go-rejecting people from the beginning of time till the end shall stand before Cthulhu-a being so terrible he offends the "evil" men of today- to be judged and cast into The Unspeakable Darkness, where they shall learn the true meaning of eternal life. No man or woman is free from his horrific wrath; none can escape the fate of Eternal Fire. Yes, what a day that will be for all the skeptics to finally admit what they're heart has known all along. That misery and damnation has been their fate, waiting, dreaming, in the depths of the sea, sub-consciously stirring the anxiety of all the peoples above. They shall be cast into the Lake of Fire forever and ever and longer than that. Have a nice day.

Clearly, you have to plagiarize to leave any type of feedback. The difference is that the God of the Bible left a book that has never been 100 percent proven to have had a contradiction in it, and continues to draw countless numbers of people to it, whether they are believers or non-believers.

God's ways are not our ways; His thoughts are not our thoughts. Besides, the Bible may not condemn slavery, but it does condemn the mistreatment and abuse of slaves (Ephesians 6:6-9). We are to be bondservants of Jesus Christ! And as for genocide, did you ever consider that the people who were killed might be evil and unrepentant? And that the young babies would grow up the same way? No, of course you didn't.

No, I considered it. And discarded it as justification for genocide, because it could just as easily be applied to ANY genocide. Pol Pot? Stalin? Hitler? They were just killing bad people whose kids would grow up the same way! We don't judge evil acts as good just because we can think of a possible scenario where they might be.

As regards to slavery: You're totally right. The bible is against mistreatment of slaves. It totally says that you shouldn't threaten them. Whew! Of course, there's also this though: "When a man strikes his male or female slave with a rod so hard that the slave dies under his hand, he shall be punished. If, however, the slave survives for a day or two, he is not to be punished, since the slave is his own property. (Exodus 21:20-21)

You do realize there's a vast difference between plagiarism and satire, right? The post was clearly satirically showing your flawed reasoning.

The difference is that the God of the Bible left a book that has never been 100 percent proven to have had a contradiction in it,

MAT 1:16 And Jacob begat Joseph the husband of Mary, of whom was born Jesus, who is called Christ.

LUK 3:23 And Jesus himself began to be about thirty years of age, being (as was supposed) the son of Joseph, [which was the son of] Heli.

The attempts to reconcile this obvious contradiction fall quite flat inserting, as they do, the unsupportable claim that the text of Luke is talking about Mary's lineage even though only Joseph is mentioned.

Not that a lack of internal contradiction would do anything for veracity, of course, because that's doesn't follow whatsoever.

and continues to draw countless numbers of people to it, whether they are believers or non-believers.

People are also drawn to homeopathy; doesn't make it any less quackery. Argumentum ad populum is a fallacy, and a particularly bad one.

Again, God is not a man, and does not think like the dictators you mentioned. His thoughts are far beyond us. His reasons for the destruction of various Canaanite tribes cannot be compared to Totalitarian dictators, since God had these people slaughtered for sinful acts, unlike Hitler or Stalin.

And you miss the fact that the slave can no longer work, and therefore the master suffers for losing a very financial commodity he once had. His only option is buy another slave, or nurse the other back to health.

Prove it.

His thoughts are far beyond us.

So?

His reasons for the destruction of various Canaanite tribes cannot be compared to Totalitarian dictators, since God had these people slaughtered for sinful acts, unlike Hitler or Stalin.

Including the innocents, like the children. Which is hilarious, considering elsewhere "just one" innocent was enough for him to spare a city from destruction.

No, I don't. I just consider it reprehensible and immaterial to the point. Nice attempt at a dodge, btw, to ignore the fact that you claimed that the bible condemned abuse, when it does not.

That's not "the answer". The passage is talking about Joseph's genealogy as much as Jesus'.

Yes, but it's a book that some fools think is real, even though it so clearly isn't. It's not the book alone that causes the quick-temper, it's the bad reasoning that the people pretending its real use, and their attempts at threatening other people based on this supposed reality. And the use of the book to justify bigotry, too.

It's posts like this that make me shake my head in wonder at how far parts of the Christian community have strayed from the teachings of Christ. We are taught to love our neighbors as ourselves. I will find no pleasure or joy or glory in the loss of a single soul during the end times. No matter how wretched a life you live, if you can repent for merely a second and come to God then that is something to be celebrated.

That lesson is taught time and time again and yet so many Christians find it so appealing to judge and condemn when we are told explicitly not to. The criminal hanging on the cross next to Jesus said only that Jesus was innocent and was granted absolution.

So don't say that you'll be glad to see the heathens burn. That is so unChristian I can't even stomach it.

Which is why you can't stomach God: Proverbs 1:26-27 says, " I also will laugh at your calamity; I will mock when your fear cometh;
When your fear cometh as desolation, and your destruction cometh as a whirlwind; when distress and anguish cometh upon you."

God will laugh at the destruction of the heathen, so go argue with God, not me.

Your satire is irrevelant and doesn't make much sense, since you don't believe what you wrote; whereas I do. The purpose of this topic was to create a pensive and apprehansive mood for the unbelievers.

Yes, what a day that will be for all the skeptics to finally admit what they're heart has known all along-that they are a sinner that justly deserves Hell, and thus at that moment, they shall be cast into the Lake of Fire forever(Rev 20:15). Have a nice day.

Clearly, you have to plagiarize to leave any type of feedback. The difference is that the God of the Bible left a book that has never been 100 percent proven to have had a contradiction in it, and continues to draw countless numbers of people to it, whether they are believers or non-believers.

It's called satire, not plagiarism.

Your satire is irrevelant and doesn't make much sense, since you don't believe what you wrote; whereas I do. The purpose of this topic was to create a pensive and apprehansive mood for the unbelievers.

Yep, a single lie is unbearable evil in the eyes of a being who sends people off to be tortured horribly for all eternity :p

Hey, God! Remember that bit in your book about removing the plank of wood from your own eye before worrying about other people's splinters? *LOL*

When you actually ponder burning forever, and really pondering "could it be true" the thought of burning forever is scary.

ITS DIVINE JUSTICE. There is a difference between murder and the executioner of the death penalty on criminals.

Nope, just because God was the judge and not a person doesn't change anything. Justice is justice, death is death. One is objective, the other isn't (I hope everyone can work out which), God might be a cool guy and all but I'm not going to listen to him just because he says I have to, he has to be saying something I find worthwhile (again, not just because he says it is worthwhile).
