At the very moment when Europe was sinking in its dark age, right in the great neighbouring great Islamic empire, people where knowing their Golden days, and so science was flourishing...

PS: I could have put the topic in science, but As I liked it to Islam I thought It'd be also good to put it here.

Ergo, people can be very intelligent and still believe silly things. Great point! ;)

Well the thing is, they are the same people, they had the same brains, but weren't productive until they knew Islam.

For before , they were busy with superstitions and tribal conflicts, and later they were busy with being productive.

Who?

People from different races(including Arabs) that were under the reign of Islamic empire.

This is not trying to show Islam is from God, rather the fruits Islam brought to mankind.

Indeed, when people put aside their differences and work together, the results are often astounding. It's a shame that religion is so often a force of division as well as unity.

If religion can be both a mean of advance and regress then we should not blame religion but the people and how they use it.

Which was true for all ideologies, true or false. Yet eventually they collapsed in on themselves after the strict orthodoxies of the faith forced out innovation. Al-Ghazali, Ibn Sina, Omar Khayyam, Ibn Rawandi, Al Ma'arri, Al Razi and others would not be tolerated today.

That's a big stretch. You have to weigh it on balance.

It breeds ignorance and group vs group mentality. It may have had its uses in the past, but it is getting closer to becoming obsolete, and may already be so.
