Do they not understand the value of statistical reasoning and the knowledge the scientific community has that proves this idea to be nonsense, or do they have ulterior motives for believing such bunk?

Gay-theists don't really seem to be as scientific or rational as they claim.

Aliens do exist. And i say that as a christian slowly converting himself to buddhism. Now some might say that buddhism is atheistic but it is not. Buddhists believe in god(s) but not as an almighty, powerful, and as the creator.
Epsilon: There are so many stories where some brave hero decides to give their life to save the day, and because of their sacrifice, the good guys win, the survivors all cheer, and everybody lives happily ever after. But the hero... never gets to see that ending. They'll never know if their sacrifice actually made a difference. They'll never know if the day was really saved. In the end, they just have to have faith.

Wormholes and multiverse theory are far more logical and follow far more closely to scientific fact than god will ever be

Considering the vastness of the universe and the fact that life came about in at least one verified place (earth) it seems likely, that life would occur elsewhere in the universe as well.

Why don't you think aliens don't exist?

I have to hear this. Please, continue. I'm an Agnostic Atheist, meaning I don't believe in God, but believe we can't possibly prove he is real or not. Also, aliens are extremely possible. There are millions of different planets, so it makes sense at least a few out of all of them contain life.

life is just about anything that is living however it maybe based at a molecular level. intelligent life is a bit trickier. i see intelligent life to be life that is able to develop new ways to do things, and fully develop it in 50 generations. i don't mean adaptations i mean strategies like how wolves attack in packs, or how the clown fish uses an anemone for protection. stuff like that

The question is, is there intelligent alien life out there?

that would also be very possible, contrary to popular belief. there are millions of planets that were there millions of years before earth even started to form, so there are many possibilities of intelligent life.

It is a lot more unlikely than just life.

but very likely nonetheless

You reckon?

mmhm

How many billions of years did it take for intelligent life to form on this planet?

.8

So how do you judge what is life, and what is intelligent life?

life is just about anything that is living however it maybe based at a molecular level. intelligent life is a bit trickier. i see intelligent life to be life that is able to develop new ways to do things, and fully develop it in 50 generations. i don't mean adaptations i mean strategies like how wolves attack in packs, or how the clown fish uses an anemone for protection. stuff like that

So what about life that seems to of occurred 3 billion years ago? Do you disagree with such an idea?

reword this i didn't understand that part

You said intelligent life took 0.8 billion years to form on this planet. 0.8 billion years after what?
