The atheist creed: nothing exploded from nothing and randomly created self-replicating bits that somehow turned into self-conscious beings."

Easily the most illogical religion on Earth..

That's a collection of scientific theories, including the big bang theory, abiogenesis and evolution (two of which proposed by christians) that's not atheism.

Even then, your statement is no more accurate about reality than me saying is that your belief is: "that a magical sky wizard, that had to have existed without being created as it is not possible for something to exist without being created waved his magic wand in the air and congealed all life as it is out of dirt, and somehow decided to created significant quantities of evidence that he didn't do it that way because why?, "f**k you", that's why."

Atheism is logically equivalent to believing the physical world is all that there is. You have to believe something exploded from nothing and you have to believe all life came into being from random chemical reactions (which would never create life anyway) and these then created us even though there's no evidence of macroevolution within the fossil record.

Considering that every single time religion tries to explain something in the real world, it fails catastrophically, whereas naturalism while imperfect has managed to build our understanding to the point where we have built up a technologically advanced civilisation that has travelled to other places, it is pretty clear that the score is currently naturalism 1349471923 religion 0.

Moreover, saying a bunch of evidence does not exist, does not make you right. In fact, you and other creationists propensity to resort to whatever lies, distortion , fabrication and deliberate misunderstanding (as you allude to here) In order to try and convince your "belief" is anything more than a vaccuous rejection of reality simply demonstrates the intellectual bankruptcy of your own position.

Don't tell me that something can't come from nothing, then proceed to assert that a god can come from nothing, that's contradictory. If you can state that a god can be eternal, then I can also state that all matter and energy can be eternal - both of our claims are just as testable, given what we know. Furthermore, one is simpler (having a god exist for no reason in particular is an added layer of complexity on top of explaining why matter and energy exists), so why do you prefer your explanation when naturalism is simpler and therefore makes a better null hypothesis under most standards?

On an unrelated side note, is your username Installgentoo because you are a Linux user?

Well, if you look at a recent theory proposed by some scientists, (not accepted as of yet, still working on it's possibility not only as something that could happen, but something that did) is that, since matter and antimatter combine to create nothing, nothing can create matter and antimatter (oversimplification).

And when you supply a deity, that just raises questions of what created that deity. How can a deity escape the logic you just now employed?

I'm an Atheist, and I don't believe that "nothing exploded". That certainly isn't what The Big Bang states anyway. Also, yes, the production of self-replicating molecules would happen somewhat randomly. However, in a universe so vast and large, improbable things in a narrow sense, become rather probable in a wider sense due to vastness and scope.

I am constantly amused by people who come to debate forums and then demonstrate beyond question their unbelievably inadequate grasp of even rudimentary scientific knowledge, or just knowledge in general. LOL
