Sorry if this offends anyone but from my limited exposure to liberals I have found the following tendencies.

1: A history of drug and/or alcohol abuse.
2: Low achievement professionally and educationally.
3: A lack of logical ability.
4: Contempt for 'book smarts' in favor of those who dropped out of high school.
5: An inability to work.
6: Hatred of the rich (if poor).
7: Superiority complex/egomania/narcissism.
8: A masochistic desire for personal abuse.
9: Statements that imply a lack of understanding of economics, especially basic economics such as supply and demand curve.

I am beginning to wonder if many of them suffer from some sort of classifiable personality disorder?

Lol... at least have the audacity to come up with your own points instead of just copy-pasting from the other threads like this

What's a liberal?
"Let me tell you the truth. The truth is, 'what is'. And 'what should be' is a fantasy, a terrible terrible lie that someone gave to the people long ago. The 'what should be' never did exist, but people keep trying to live up to it. There is no 'what should be,' there is only what is." - Lenny Bruce

It can mean many things, actually, but the OP refers to American Liberalism.

I guess I count as liberal but I don't see myself described in this list.

9 is pretty accurate for me.

1 and 2 could potentially be used to describe me, though I would dispute them both.

3 - 8 I really don't think I'm guilty of at all. Some people could possibly misconstrue 3 and 6 from some things I say but hatred or contempt go way, way too far.

I don't think many other 'liberals' I know in real life or on here fit any more of these criteria than I do either.

Religion?

Liberalism in America is the same as in Britain.

Americans seem to put a lot of stock into blanket terms like Liberal and Conservative.

What a fascinating and inciteful study that you have conducted about the vague demographic of people you call "liberals!" Through years of unbiased data-collecting, you have compiled a clear psychoanalysis that can be generally applied to all people who call themselves liberals.

This is truly groundbreaking analysis in the respectable field of the stereotype-science!

One question: why is this in religion?

Liberalism is a religion. The targets of worship include the Delta Smelt, polar bears, etc. Al Gore is the priest who warns of doom and destruction by global warming.

And a lot of Christians find their pastor kind of annoying too.
It came to be at its height. It was commanded to command. It was a capital before its first stone was laid. It was a monument to the spirit of man.

Must we have this up? This is actually offensive. I could go into many personal reasons as to why it is, but I won't. It's wrongfully stereotyping regardless though just like many upper-class people or Libertarians stereotype all poor people as either lazy or drug-addicts which as I know is pure bullsh*t.

This is stupid I'm sorry; I believe that just a "name" should not warrant such negative stereotypes. "Liberal" means a lot of things. In fact I'd like to remind people their is such a thing as a Liberal Republican and a Conservative Democrat. Their is ideology and then their is just bs because of their self-identification. I believe everybody deserves respect as long as they can adequately defend their stance. Now then if you wanna say somebody Communist is atheist then you are allowed to do that (It's in the Manifest) yet you can't say Communists are lazy idiots. That's just stupidity.

Well said, but I do have to say that although Marx didn't like religion and expressed this view in many of his works there is still some religious communists. So yea, it wouldn't quite be 100% accurate to say all communists are atheists although most are.
