Of course this term does not need to apply to the exportation of evangelists/proselytizers from one nation (generally from a western nation) to another, but I think it's what we commonly refer to as being missionaries. Are non-Christian religions and it's offshoots (like Mormonism) that extended/extend to other nations from where they originated also missionaries (Buddhism, Islam, etc.)? Is globalization a form of, or similar to Christian missionary activity?
