Why do atheists and theists call each other delusion? Not necessarily in a medical context. How can twins with the same or nearly identical brains have two different religions or atheist/theist.

Good question, it is a result of competing interests and people of opposing beliefs feeling compelled to belittle the opposition for lack of a better argument.

Not necessarily in a medical context. How can twins with the same or nearly identical brains have two different religions or atheist/theist.

If you mean biological twins/siblings? I think it all boils down to the individual's experience and perception. I do have to admit - I have never seen this, but I do not see why this would be any different than any other sibling similarities or differences in perception.

Because we're feisty like that. It also spares us from having to make an argument, and that hope is that we can shame the other person into changing their minds since we can't use reason.

How can twins with the same or nearly identical brains have two different religions or atheist/theist.

Because they don't have identical experiences.

atheists call theists delusional
and theists call atheists foolish doubters...

but being that the human being has a propensity is to question everything that is presented to us as fact, as we all know the appeal to gullibility is not a smart thing to appeal to
atheists are just consistent....
theists are not.

Unfortunately, the human ego is fragile, and tends to fight any perceived threat to it's concept of itself, no matter how rational or positive the perceived threat might actually be. It's our egos that cause us to dismiss each other even before we understand what we're dismissing, simply because it's perceived as a threat to the idea of our own righteousness.

Any vision of reality that does not reinforce our currently held vision of reality must be dismissed, forthwith, as "delusional". Otherwise, it may threaten the imagined righteousness of our currently held vision of reality. And our egos won't allow that.
