I am religious, but I feel most people follow faith blindly. Why else would they always join the church thats most predominant in their region of earth?

I think its a symptom of societal conformity.
How about NO elections?

I don't get it... The only way this makes sense is to ignore history.

History? Religion has always been region specific. I can give you so many examples. Its societal conformity.

And you don't have blind faith? Then what evidence do you have?

That is not what the forum is about. Sorry, but I debate what I wish to debate. Instigate random "god exists" debates elsewhere.

Seems like an important part when you said "I feel most people follow faith blindly" and related it to the question "Why else would they always join the church thats most predominant in their region of Earth?" That means that you are relating blind faith to regional religious beliefs.

The history of religion is the history of the propagation and immigration of religious beliefs. It's literally that simple...

Do you not follow faith blindly?

Is faith itself not the act of one being logically blind?

How do you justify your religiousness?

Is your faith superior than others, and if so, why?

Why else would they always join the church *that's most predominant in their region of earth?

Social pressure, social norm, the fact that we, as humans, are creatures of a herd mentality... the list goes on. (* - fixed)

I think its a symptom of societal conformity.

One of many reasons, indeed.

I wouldn't say religion has ALWAYS been region specific, some have of course, such as Hinduism, Sikhism and Buddhism, possibly even Judaism. Religions like Islam and Christianity have spread far and wide, Islam covered the entire Arabian peninsula in 23 years and went on to spread into Europe and Asia. To this day it is the fastest growing religion in the world (scary for some lol) and christianity is the largest, you'll find Christians everywhere from Africa to Europe to Asia and every in between.

Some religions find a way to speak to millions of different cultures and languages and some do not.
