OMG!!!

The guy in the first video!!

I had an open argument with him at speakers corner last week! Hah. Although he mostly interested in preaching/attacking Islam than dealing with atheists... And it's hard to argue when you have to shout at the top of your lungs to hear anything.

Good fun there though..

YouTube isn't the best source, and members of every religion lie in order to promote their religion, which is why I don't trust religion in general, including Christianity and Islam.

Why would lying members of religion cause you to not trust Christianity? Unless of course you mean the scriptures and the authors are lying, then that is very unfortunate. For me, lying is a serious offense, it's not an element I would mix with sharing the gospel lol.
While I'm sure there are plenty of morons in religion in general, I tend to judge Christianity not by it's members but by what it teaches. It makes issues more clear and I'm sure lying is not on the menu O.O

Belief in God and belief in a particular religion are two different things. We know due to lessons learned throughout history that religion has often been used as a system of controlling either individuals or groups of people. Being a Christian can mean that you are trying to emulate Christ, but Christianity is a religion based upon more than the life of Christ. I think democracy is a good form of government, but it doesn't mean I trust politicians, if you know what I mean.

Exactly. Mankind has one common history, the abuse of power.

The education system is to increase knowledge, but it can be a system of nonviolent indoctrination.

Political systems have been used to control people.

Justice systems have been instilled that oppressed a minority.

Religion has been used to control a population.

Economic systems are still in place to concentrate wealth more and more and to shrink a middle class to poverty levels.

There are Atheist around here that have drank the kool-aid. They seem to think a utopia is around the corner, one of no war, scientific advancement, glorious age of justice and human rights, etc.. only if the whole world was full of people with a "lack of believe in God/s existence"

Because the worst thing to happen to Christianity was Christians.

The same goes for Islam, radical Muslims.

The same goes for Communism, dictators. (but if you read Marx a communist gov is only achievable through a dictatorship. sounds like the lead of a good Only true Scotsman defense)

People. People abuse power. People inflict suffering on other People. Human being are by nature to be selfish and violent. (man and woman).

I used to believe in the good in people. Because I seriously was a good hearted guy. I was a goody two shoe, to some people.

Then I traveled. And fought in wars. And grew up. No ideas, or beliefs, or pages of some book ever hurt anyone. People hurt People.

I am not judging Christianity based on by actions of stupid people. I judge it by its true followers, like crusaders, witch burners, Sheikh Augustine, Martin Luther, Inquisition, and etc.....
Just kidding..... may be not.

Yes, and to me that is maybe the greatest self-delusion of them all.

Christianity is based on either missunderstanding or a hoax. Why? Becayse, when it has been found and when gospels and epistles written, they wanted to show a man who is not messiah as a messiah who was being expected.

First of all, Jesus does not match the one who was prophesied in the Old Testament. 2. The old testament or the god of the old testament does not promise nor prophesy the messiah, OT talks about mashaiach which means anointed, not messiah.

The "authors" of christianity thought that that word is moshaiach which means messiah in english, but indeed that word was not moshaiach, that word was mashaiach which means anointed.

Now, in order to avoid this missunderstaing or lie, they need to lie, they need an excuse, they need a back-flip apologetic, vice versa they(christians) will need to admit that christianity is wrong and a fiction. So, in order not to do that, they lie or make such wrong apologetics on purpose.

P.s: my own opinions.
