Muslims are the second largest religion in the U.S. followed by Judaism. Anyone else find this interesting?

Sorry, that should read "Islam is the second largest".

What's the difference in "Muslim" and "Islam"? The terms always seem synonymous to me. Just wondering.

Islam is the religion and a Muslim is a person of the Islamic faith. At least that is my understanding.

Another interesting point is that all these religions take support and bribes from Uncle Sam.

When I first saw this study I was surprised as well. The distribution is also interesting, it seems Buddhism and Islam are going to fight it out in the states bordering each other to see who can gain popularity in the future.

But I am not sure if Islam is the second biggest in the US, I could not find that in the article.

Also the Christian groups distribution is pretty interesting. I would have expected more evangelical Christianity in some Southern states (Arizona, New Mexico and Texas), but seems Catholicism is large and in charge.

I'll give you that. I saw my state, and projected it on the rest of the US. Sorry.

Yea, don't count out the Baptists. They are a close second.
