The religion argument are so, so much dominated by Christian issues (or anti-Christian vise versa). How about discussing something else for a change?

If you have any argument for or against any other religion that doesn't orbited around Abrahamic mythology, I will be happy to hear it out ;D

Its actually pretty interesting. It s Gnostic precisely because it is outside the construct of the narrative of Christ, inauthentic if you will, but an interesting claim in that Judas is actually the most trusted of Jesus, asked to take on the burden of betrayer not out of greed but as a necessity that Jesus may fulfill his roll.

Its a terribly difficult burden, to be forever scorned as a betrayer when in reality you are doing you duty. As a moral parable, its really quite a powerful message.

The other issue with it though, is that it contains notions of a 'secret' gospel meant only for insiders rather than the masses, and these have been universally deemed 'inauthentic'. The matter is still debatable obviously, but was solved by the Creation of the Canon hundreds of years ago. The 'secret' gospel is inauthentic.
