This article from Salon, although harsh in its language, makes a point that the popular Pope is not as progressive as he's made out to be. What do y'all think?

I may have read the article before and if it says what I think it says then he is not as progressive as the catholic information department would have you believe.

His minor steps forward are a very important step to reality when compared to the previous pope who had been previously the head of the department of the inquisition.

It makes no difference to the existence or otherwise of the god they worship, but it makes catholics feel better about themselves.

I think you have misunderstood what Pope Francis promised to be. I think he has not promised to accept every whims people have.

I think that he is Catholic with a modern Jesuit style.

That's kind of the point of this article, it's saying he is not modern and is business as usual.

All the popes, cardinals, bishops, priests, pastors, chaplains, and Christians are frauds. They are NOT saints and believers of the true gospel unless they are chosen believers who listen to the voice of God spoken through a saint.
