Meditating on the purpose of relationships lately. According to psychologists, suffering is only a natural process of life. We cannot stop it, but we can choose how to respond to it. Suffering is actually needed for personal growth. Suffering enables you to see what needs improvement.

In Hebrew, the word for man is derived from a root meaning "to be strong" while the woman from a root meaning "to be soft." When a man and woman unite, the man is to attend his wife's needs and wants before his own because that's how he discovers himself. By using his abilities and being a strong leader, he learns how to cultivate both of their lives together. It takes the love and sacrifice of Jesus Christ to fully appreciate a wife and to be a protector which is something i believe the world doesn't understand.

Well your second paragraph has it about right.

The first however is slightly off the mark.

Strength to endure suffering is needed at the moment, and we need to grow enough to combat the temptations that puts in our way.

However suffering is not always going to be inevitable.God did not create this earth for suffering, and he is working through a plan, with the aid of his son, to bring it to an end in such a way that it can never be repeated.

That is a large part of the story of scripture.

Why do Christians keep on lying about what suffering means? Ask a suffering African child who is starving to death about changing his attitude and be strong in the Lord instead.

Not ONE Christian understands why God formed illusions that make us believe they are suffering?
