I just met the guy who baptized me as a baby, and now I'm going out to have lunch with him. What should I say if he asks me about religion. I haven't seen him in 13 years and I don't know what to do.

Wouldn't that be a priest?

Battle royale. Logically disprove the existence of God and watch the man cry.

And take pictures.

The first question is, why would you go to lunch with the man?

And then promote this argument worldwide for finally having a decisive, conclusive, logical disproof of God.

It's a shame that you either don't know what you believe or don't know how to explain it.

I know exactly what I believe, and I know exactly how to explain those views.

Anyway, the conversation was fairly casual. The priest has a doctorate in philosophy so we ended up mostly talking about ethics and, Kant's, Hume's, and Hegel's philosophy.

Well basically in normal conversation it is expected that someone will speak, and you will formulate some sort of relevant response. It's a bit like posting in a forum, only you do it with your mouth.

Oh right... you meant how to avoid an awkward situation? Why bother, why not just be honest with him? You are a free man after all?
I am voting for Innomen because of his intelligence, common sense, humility and the fact that Juggle appears to listen to him. Any other Presidential style would have a large sub-section of the site up in arms. If I was President I would destroy the site though elitism, others would let it run riot. Innomen represents a middle way that works, neither draconian nor anarchic and that is the only way things can work. Plus he does it all without ego trips.

ask him how god has worked in his life. Then repent sinner and be saved in thine heart.

For an interesting conversation, ask him about the controviersy of infant baptism and ask why he supported(or supports) it.

Tell him he was wrong to baptise you without your consent!

well if ones parents make the decision for you baptism as commitment for raising their kid in the church and as a christian I really have little problem with infant baptism. My twin neices were baptised as infants and I think there saved.

Baptism is symbolic of a spiritual commitment to Christ's salvation, it is NOT salvation..
