Christians seem obsessed with throwing unbelievers in God into a lake of fire and torturing them for all eternity for not believing in a mythical character.

The ironic thing about this "all consuming lake of fire" which Christians believe is hell, is that the fire also represents God.

Deut 4:24 For the LORD thy God is a consuming fire, even a jealous God.

Deut 9:3 Understand therefore this day, that the LORD thy God is he which goeth over before thee; as a consuming fire he shall destroy them, and he shall bring them down before thy face: so shalt thou drive them out, and destroy them quickly, as the LORD hath said unto thee.

Heb 12:29 For our God is a consuming fire.

It makes no difference if you are a believer in mythical characters or not, everyone is in an "all consuming lake of fire". "The fire" is life itself. It is the "heat" which many cannot stand through life, so they need to "get out of the kitchen".

Truth is the reality which many flee from when it gets too hot for them to handle.
They run into fantasy land to try to hide from reality. Then they get lost in their fantasy land where their mythical characters manage to save them from the reality which they can't bear.

The allegorical fire is heaven to "gold" and hell to the "dross". It's the same fire which purifies and also destroys at the same time.

Fire in any symbolism, imagery, allegory usually represents life. light, warmth, comfort but it can also represent death and destruction.

The following is taken from http://www.umich.edu...

"Fire consumes, warms, and illuminates, but can also bring pain and death; thus, its symbolic meaning varies wildly, depending upon the context of its use. It is often the symbol of inspiration, and yet it is also the predominant symbol of HELL; fire is the only one of the "FOUR ELEMENTS" that humans can produce themselves, so it bridges the connection between mortals and gods. Rituals often involve an eternal flame, and kindling a fire is equated with birth and resurrection. Can be spiritual enlightenment, sexuality - "light my fire" and fertility.

Fire can also be seen as a force of purification (Cooper, 1978). In a more modern context, forest fires, while looked upon as destructive and costly by modern society (and especially by the various media), are actually, from a scientific and ecological point of view quite positive as a mode of purification -- old growth that is burned away makes way for new growth to begin, and the entire ecosystem is rejuvenated.

Fire is viewed by Christians, the Chinese, and the Hebrews as being a symbol of divinity (Cooper, 1978). In Christianity, fire can also be symbolic of religious zeal and martyrdom. In Egypt it represents a sense of superiority and control. Many cultures view fire as a symbol of wisdom and knowledge.

Freud saw fire as an aspect of the libido (sex drive) representing forbidden passions, but it is also seen in psychology as destruction and regeneration and as a mediator between vanishing and appearing forms."

Skyangel good to meet you..
What you say about "Fire" Fire in any symbolism, imagery, allegory usually represents life. light, warmth, comfort but it can also represent death and destruction. CAN..
Can also be used with "Water"!
Water washes and it also destroys!

The armies of Egypt were washed away but the same waters saved the people of Moses!
Demons look for "Aired" places away from water!

Matthew 12:43
"When an impure spirit comes out of a person, it goes through arid places seeking rest and does not find it.

Water washes away the sins at Baptism!

Peter walked on water...
Pigs (full of demons) were drowned in water.
Mathew 8:32
He said to them, "Go!" So they came out and went into the pigs, and the whole herd rushed down the steep bank into the lake and died in the water.

Short of it is "Water" gives life!

Life is a paradox which includes death to itself in the process of living. Life creates death as well as life. They are simply two sides of exactly the same coin.
There is a positive and negative way to see anything at all. Life is filled with opposites which need each other to make the whole picture. To reject one side of a coin is the same as rejecting the whole coin. You can't just reject one side and keep a whole coin.

Fire is only a bad thing to those who are afraid of it. Those who understand how to control fire and how to use fire for good are not afraid of it. They have a healthy respect for it.

For Christians to threaten unbelievers in mythical characters with hell fire and eternal torture is sheer stupidity, ignorance and foolishness.

No belief in any mythical character ever saves anyone from any fire. The unbelievers in mythical characters are in the firing line of the believers and vice versa. They all fire at each other and hope the opposite side "dies" in the process of the firing war. What both sides fail to understand is that they cannot destroy one side of a picture without destroying the complete picture.

Opposites make up a whole. God ( which represents all that is seen as good including fire) and the devil ( which represents all that is seen as evil including fire) make up the whole God which represents ALL that exists and includes all opposites rather than excluding what appears to be evil or bad, ignorant and foolish.

God/ Light and the devil/ darkness make up the WHOLE complete DAY/ Light/God.

It is obviously hard for those who reject the darkness/evil/devil, to comprehend how darkness/devil and light/God can be part of the same light/day /God.
However, they are simply two sides of the exact same coin. You cannot have one without the other. The principle is that of loving and embracing your enemy instead of rejecting them. When light embraces darkness it turns the darkness into light.
Too many Christians are so busy rejecting darkness/evil/ devil that they end up being evil instead of good. They end up hating instead of loving their enemies. They don't want to believe God has an opposite side. They don't want to believe that light can appear to be darkness.
They have great difficulty comprehending it.

Wisdom can appear to be foolishness and vice versa.
Light can appear to be darkness and vice versa.
Truth can appear to be a lie and vice versa.
Such is the paradox of life/death.

The wise can comprehend that. Fools don't even try to comprehend it.

Everything in their childish Bible is vile lies. More disgusting than dog excrement and designed to scare little children into thinking that Santa will leave a crummy lump of coal in their meager stockings.

Truth and lies are simply the same coin viewed from opposite perspectives.

The bible stories are fiction but the messages in the stories can be applied to life in reality if you understand the symbolism.
If you see God as a personified version of understanding and the devil as a personified version of ignorance, then it is not hard to comprehend how understanding destroys ignorance or how light destroys darkness while at the same time creating the very thing it is destroying.

The more we know, the more we realize how much we don't know.
The more enlightened we become, the more we realize how ignorant we really are.
We really cannot see anything until we realize how blind we are.

Fools think they are wise. The wise know they are fools.

Look at the general concept taught in the bible regarding loving ones enemies.
The enemies are those who oppose you.
Gods enemy in the story is the devil.
If God set an example of loving the enemy he would need to embrace the devil and let him live. He did exactly that in the story by taking the place of the devil and letting the devil go free.

Light embraces darkness, destroys darkness, yet darkness continues to exist.

Such is the paradox of Light/Life.

I tried to be nice. Because I was. But I have been hurt so badly by the horrible underhanded things that Christians in this forum have said to me that I've realized that loving people even when they hate me because of my beliefs, the way I look, or who I friend, is never going to amount to anything.

No, I don't believe in God, but I BELIEVED in the good in people and in love. Now, thanks to this retched place, I believe in nothing. I've been childish to think all this time in my sheltered world that people are worth anything.

In the Bible 3 things purify. Water, Blood, and Fire. The triune is seen on many levels in the bible. Flood, Jesus, End of the Earth.

Water was used to purify against disease or degradation. Blood was used to purify to Holiness, and Fire to purify elementally, as to remove contaminants.

Mark 9:49 "Everyone will be purified by fire as a sacrifice is purified by salt."
50 "Salt is good; but if it loses its saltiness, how can you make it salty again?
"Have the salt of friendship among yourselves, and live in peace with one another."

Have you ever heard the story about the man who tried to please everyone and ended up pleasing no one? That is who you remind me of Jody.

You can please some of the people some of the time but you can never please all of the people all of the time. People will always let you down in life. You will also let others down at times no matter how much you try not to. The only person you can rely on to never let you down is yourself but even then you can still let yourself down and disappoint yourself at times.
However, you can never run away from yourself. You are with you always through everything that happens to you in life. You can condemn yourself for your own mistakes or forgive yourself for them but in the end your own conscience is your judge (God).

People are as valuable as you believe they are. They are all at least as valuable as you are. There is good in all of them but there is also evil in all of them. We are two part beings who are made up of opposite ideas and concepts We are our own worst enemies. We contradict ourselves constantly, we do what we don't want to do and don't do what we do want to do.
We cannot live without dying. We cannot grow into maturity without destroying our own immaturity yet people attempt to hold on to it by holding on to fantasies and embracing their inner child.

Once upon a time..."Only believe" .... and you too will live happily ever after.

One of the key words in this following prophecy about the lake of fire is sulfur to show that hot molten lava will melt the earth's crust with all the illusions on it.

Revelation 21
1: Then I saw a new heaven and a new earth; for the first heaven and the first earth had passed away, and the sea was no more.
8: But as for the cowardly, the faithless, the polluted, as for murderers, fornicators, sorcerers, idolaters, and all liars, their lot shall be in the lake that burns with fire and sulphur, which is the second death."

Revelation 19
20: And the beast was captured, and with it the false prophet who in its presence had worked the signs by which he deceived those who had received the mark of the beast and those who worshiped its image. These two were thrown alive into the lake of fire that burns with sulphur.

2 Peter 3
10: But the day of the Lord will come like a thief, and then the heavens will pass away with a loud noise, and the elements will be dissolved with fire, and the earth and the works that are upon it will be burned up.

Coals of fire is used in the following prophecy for hot molten lava;

Psalms 18
12: Out of the brightness before him there broke through his clouds hailstones and coals of fire.
13: The LORD also thundered in the heavens, and the Most High uttered his voice, hailstones and coals of fire.

Zephaniah 1
18: Neither their silver nor their gold shall be able to deliver them on the day of the wrath of the LORD. In the fire of his jealous wrath, all the earth shall be consumed; for a full, yea, sudden end he will make of all the inhabitants of the earth.

Psalm 97
1: The LORD reigns; let the earth rejoice; let the many coastlands be glad!
2: Clouds and thick darkness are round about him; righteousness and justice are the foundation of his throne.
3: Fire goes before him, and burns up his adversaries round about.
4: His lightnings lighten the world; the earth sees and trembles.
5: The mountains melt like wax before the LORD, before the Lord of all the earth.

Jeremiah 4
26: I looked, and lo, the fruitful land was a desert, and all its cities were laid in ruins before the LORD, before his fierce anger.
27: For thus says the LORD, "The whole land shall be a desolation; yet I will not make a full end.

Ezekiel 22
19: Therefore thus says the Lord GOD: Because you have all become dross, therefore, behold, I will gather you into the midst of Jerusalem.
20: As men gather silver and bronze and iron and lead and tin into a furnace, to blow the fire upon it in order to melt it; so I will gather you in my anger and in my wrath, and I will put you in and melt you.
21: I will gather you and blow upon you with the fire of my wrath, and you shall be melted in the midst of it.
22: As silver is melted in a furnace, so you shall be melted in the midst of it; and you shall know that I the LORD have poured out my wrath upon you."

Amos 9
5: The Lord, GOD of hosts, he who touches the earth and it melts, and all who dwell in it mourn, and all of it rises like the Nile, and sinks again, like the Nile of Egypt;

Nahum 1
4: He rebukes the sea and makes it dry, he dries up all the rivers; Bashan and Carmel wither, the bloom of Lebanon fades.
5: The mountains quake before him, the hills melt; the earth is laid waste before him, the world and all that dwell therein.

Ezekiel 15
6: Therefore thus says the Lord GOD: Like the wood of the vine among the trees of the forest, which I have given to the fire for fuel, so will I give up the inhabitants of Jerusalem.
7: And I will set my face against them; though they escape from the fire, the fire shall yet consume them; and you will know that I am the LORD, when I set my face against them.
8: And I will make the land desolate, because they have acted faithlessly, says the Lord GOD."

Micah 1
3: For behold, the LORD is coming forth out of his place, and will come down and tread upon the high places of the earth.
4: And the mountains will melt under him and the valleys will be cleft, like wax before the fire, like waters poured down a steep place.

Isaiah 40
3: A voice cries: "In the wilderness prepare the way of the LORD, make straight in the desert a highway for our God.
4: Every valley shall be lifted up, and every mountain and hill be made low; the uneven ground shall become level, and the rough places a plain.

I underlined all the parts of the prophecies to show you that God planned to use hot molten lava to melt the entire crust of this earth and everything upon it into a lake of fire with sulfur. Sulfur gives off a strong odor in hot molten lava.

Your underling only shows how gullible you are and proves you take the words in the bible literally rather than symbolically. You delude yourself with your own imaginations and false prophecies. It is all an illusion remember? None of it is real Brad.
No literal hot lava is going to literally melt the whole planet Earth. You only confuse yourself by believing it will ever happen in reality.
The only time hot lava is on Earth is inside volcanoes and the lava ends up on top of the Earth when and where volcanoes erupt. Lava will never cover the whole planet at once. The only high places which need to be brought down is your own pride and arrogance Brad. You are too big for your own boots if you truly believe you are the only person on planet Earth who understands anything and your whole goal in life is to teach the illusions which are created in the mind of a mythical character that they are not real when you also happen to be one of those illusions. Have you realized the fact that you are not real yet? You are not the voice of God but just an illusion of the voice of God. You are not a saint of any kind but just an illusion of a saint in your own mind. Why don't you get real Brad and stop believing your own illusions and delusions about yourself?

Santa is not in the Bible. Nor is Santa a staple Christian Tenet. Santa is an anagram of Satan. Santa Claus was an invention of Coco-Cola advertising.

This false teaching of yours shows you've gotten much more stupid since your last post.

No man understands what the "lake of fire" means. Only us saints are taught the deep meaning of this term, which is actually more literal than most people think.

And apparently you are the only saint on plant Earth even though you pretend there is more than one. What you mean is Only YOU can understand anything written in the bible and everyone else needs to just believe your interpretation of it and they are stupid if they don't.

Everyone bow down to saint Brad and believe everything he says without question. If you don't believe him he thinks you hate him.

It takes a fool to bow down to an invisible creator and worship what they cannot see.

Bums up and heads down... Now let us pray to invisible supernatural people. Make sure you face east too or the supernatural characters might not hear you. The vibrations need to go that way >>>>

My creator, my mother, is perfectly visible and she doesn't even ask me to bow down to her. I respect her for that more than I would if she demanded I worship her.

Everything in their childish Bible is vile lies. More disgusting than dog excrement and designed to scare little children into thinking that Santa will leave a crummy lump of coal in their meager stockings.

Santa is not in the Bible. Nor is Santa a staple Christian Tenet. Santa is an anagram of Satan. Santa Claus was an invention of Coco-Cola advertising.

You are a mean person. I did nothing to hurt you. Why? Why?

Christians are the most ignorant people on Earth. They accuse atheists of not having an open mind yet when the facts are presented and their arguments are disproved, they act like they've won and you're speaking in a language they can't understand.
birdlandmemories good to meet you..
Question.. Are you an Atheist?

I point out... Atheists cannot present facts ... All they have their BELIEFS.. They BELIEVE there isn't a god, they can't prove there isn't a god! If they had FACTS then they would not have their beliefs!

God is Spirit so don't say; "I cannot see god so there is no god!"

Doggy, atheists don't need facts, we reject your claim that gods exist. If you wish to contend that issue it's you who need evidence to support your claim.
We reject your claim of gods because you have no evidence to support your claim.

Bow down to our invisible Creator you fool.

For someone who quotes from the Bible and can't understand that a Creator inspired all us saints and prophets to write the original testimonies of the invisible Word, you have got to be the most stupid person God has ever made.

Antichrists like you expect everyone to read the prophecies they share in the forum but when one of God's saints shares prophecies, they are rejected. That's because our Creator knows how to present the prophecies to unbelievers to show them that they are liars. Once they're proven to be liars, they usually don't make any comments about the prophecies He shares with them. Just like you didn't make any comments to the prophecies about the earth's crust being melted with all the flesh and other objects that belongs to it.

I reply: This is just it....
You cannot support your claim "god does NOT exist!!" All you can do, at best is say "I BELIEVE god does not exist"!

You BELIEVE god does not exist. Your faith is in non existence of god!

bulproof You CLAIM outright>> god does not exist! I say: PROVE your claim!
Note if you CANNOT prove god does not exist then you can only trust in your BELIEF!

You say "I don't need proof"; But without PROOF you have trusted in nothing better then your dreams and what others have taught you! Knowing full well that; What others have TAUGHT you, cannot be proven! You are trusting in circular reasoning!

I point out... On a side note.. You also MUST reject a creator because you place trust and have faith in your NON existence of god! You BELIEVE "you came to be human" by nothing more then; Dumb luck!!!
You MUST trust in and BELIEVE in, the "Survival of the fittest!"! You have NO Choice!

I hope you have made arrangements for your brain to be left to science as the scientists would love to examine a brain that has never been used.

You have to believe in the survival of the stupidest, you have no choice because only the terminally stupid believe that they won't be dead when they die.

As a Catholic you must believe that all those who die unbaptised now reside in hell, a place of eternal torment. They reside there for the pleasure of your god.
That includes aborted fetuses.
Who is worse? The Dr who aborts the fetus, thus snuffing out a human life (in your opinion) or the god who punishes the soul of that fetus for eternity out of spite?

I do not attempt to prophecy anything. That is your second mistake.
You are not a saint of any kind except in your own delusions.
We don't have a supernatural creator who knows anything.
According to your own theories unbelievers don't exist anyway. Everyone is nothing but an illusion remember.
You will prove yourself to be liar as soon as 25th January arrives.
People don't make any comments about your copy and pasted prophecies Brad because you keep repeating the same things over and over like a stuck record or like a parrot who has not been taught to say anything else. You also have no clue what you are talking about just like a trained parrot has no clue. Your delusions have you totally confused and deceived.
I did make comments to your prophecies about the earth's crust being melted. Obviously you didn't bother reading them.
