With the change in presidency there are rumours circulating that some of his supporters are hitting the forums in an attempt to "clean" up the site. I have personal experience with what appears to be a concerted campaign by Wylted, a strong supporter of the new president, to oust me from the site by intimidation and bullying. He has now turned his attention to bulproof. This post of his seems to confirm his agenda:

The only way to change the quality of discussion in the religious thread is to deal with Bulprof first. He is the single biggest impediment to this and I'm not happy that the mods allow people like that to stick around and chase away new members.

http://www.debate.org...

His strategy seems to be to harass members who are considered to be "unacceptable" until they either leave voluntarily or are banned for bad conduct after having being severely provoked. Is this process starting to sound familiar to anyone?

This response by Wylted when I intimated I would report him directly to the new president might be illuminating. He invited me to go ahead and to use a group PM to include him in the loop. He was amused by the whole thing. I find that telling.

Fear is their weapon of choice but equally their greatest enemy.
They are deathly afraid of intelligence and are willing to do anything to eliminate it.
I find them incredibly funny.

We also need to deal with BOG, but sadly our President, Mikal, seems to like him, which makes it doubtful that anything will be done.

Even if BOG truly believes what he says, he derails threads, he refuses to support any claim of his, he accuses others, etc.

I applaud you. I like this thread. This has logical arguments to support your position instead of just bare assertions.

I think you misrepresent me but I like the fact you're being more logical now. Look at Bulprofs responses this far this thread to see why I have a problem with him.

My laughing off the statemet about Mikal is more to do with the fact that he has no authority over such things than any indication I think he's in my back pocket.

The only way to get rid of Bulprof, I mentioned as a statement of fact. That stuff is unavailable as an option to me, due to being high profile in the eyes of the mods.

I think another option is to stop feeding the troll but others seem to not be willing to do that. I think if Bulprof wasn't a member of this forum it's likely we'd retain membership a little easier and the quality of discussion would improve.

Another lie. Bulproof's responses so far have been right on topic and completely pertinent. Laughing at the irony of a troll complaining about trolls was entirely warranted.

If AirMax contacts you over this thread, let him know I'm okay with it. I'm always welcoming of attack threads against me.

I can handle it and if it keeps you guys distracted from running new members off the site than it makes me happy.

And here we have the derailing of yet another thread.
Guess who instigated the derailing?
Who is chasing another member from thread to thread?
Who contributes nothing to "logical debate" despite harping on about it?
Who is a troll by his own definition?

Yep, you guessed it. Your local chief of the secret police.
