From your perspective, what are the three best and the three worst religions?

I'm not big on many organized religions; however, I guess if you want to be spiritual then among the best would be Utalitarian Universalism. Second would be Buddhism (if you consider that a religion, which I do) and third might be... hmm... Panentheism? I think these are the 3 best because they preach tolerance, acceptance and don't hate or advocate discrimination of any kind.

The three worst religions I'm sure are fundamentalist of some kind. I wouldn't presume to know which religions are the WORST because I doubt I know enough about most of them. But yeah, fundamentalists are pretty awful.

Do I judge this based on apparent truth or morality?

Bad.
Christianity, riddled with fatal inconsistencies and generally shoddy morality.
Islam, restrictive, authoritarian.
Scientology, a self refuting money making scam, Piltdown man... you idiot.

Good
Raelism, yea lightsabers, immortality with nanites or whatever... whoosh look at me I am a wizard in the future!
Bhuddism, they tend not to kill and torture and suppress.
Graeco-Roman paganism, provided a moral framework, comfort, without murdering everyone for retarded reasons.
I am voting for Innomen because of his intelligence, common sense, humility and the fact that Juggle appears to listen to him. Any other Presidential style would have a large sub-section of the site up in arms. If I was President I would destroy the site though elitism, others would let it run riot. Innomen represents a middle way that works, neither draconian nor anarchic and that is the only way things can work. Plus he does it all without ego trips.

I'm guessing you think these are good?

For me...
Good:
1) Wicca; a religion based on nature and balancing forces. Doesn't discriminate, use violence and is an individualistic religion.
2) Buddhism; no violence, oppression, etc.
3) Mmm... Shintoism; its peaceful, non-oppressive...

Bad
1) Christianity
2) Islam
3) Judaism
Why these 3? They're oppressive, advocate violence in some cases (which is NEVER ok), and can't see past their religious books and face reality
I'm not back. This idiot just upset me which made me stop lurking.

Best religions? Meh. None of them are really good.

Now, worst religions:

1. Pretty much all of them.

Why? Because despite some people's protestations, all major religions (the Abrahmic religions, Buddhism, Sikhism, Hinduism, etc.) have either called for, or used to justify, violence, oppression and hatred. How any of them could end up being called "worst" or "best" is so arbitrary and silly that I don't even get the purpose of this thread except for people to show their biases.

Absolutely no violence? Are you sure?

Bad
1) Christianity
2) Islam
3) Judaism
They're oppressive,
So, if you choose to live by them, you chose to be oppressed?

advocate violence in some cases (which is NEVER ok),
Glad to inform you that all of these religions you mention advocate self-defense against attackers. And will you tell me that I am not allowed to punch someone in the face if he is threatening my life? Do you think non-violence is the solution here? Yes, if you wish to die. Let me tell you that neither I nor my religion will ever be advocates of defeatism or cowardice.

and can't see past their religious books and face reality
What is reality? Is it what you think it is, and not what I think it is? Your moral standards are the best ones, perhaps? They would be best for this world? I will happily tell you that if one wishes to be a Buddhist, Shintoist, Pagan, Wikkan, or anything else, then he can view 'reality' in any way he wants. Unless someone forces you to adhere to the rules of any of the three 'bad' religions that you mention, then they are neither oppressive, nor do they block your reasoning. It is through your own reasoning that you have accepted one of them, unless - as I said - you are forced to accept any of them.

Calvinism is idiotic. The logical PoE completely disproves it since apologists can't invoke the free will defense

Why? What's wrong with you atheists! You know real Buddhists(Original and Majority) are just, if not more, violent than Christians. Difference being they got Kung fu monks and others don't.

As for most worst, I don't know.

I am not comparing the religions, just indicating that the Bible is not a pacifist book in any way at all.
