How many years do you think it will take before the United States elects a biracial, lesbian atheist as its president?

Idk. I bet we'll have a cycle of Great Awakening or Moral Majority movements that will make it rather hard.

I'm sorry for being ignorant in this area, but do New Agers advocate a cyclical religious cleansing? I'm not necessarily claiming that I would want it to happen, but it certainly isn't impossible for the beforementioned scenario to happen.

The Governor of Houston is a lesbian. And the new Prime Minister of Australia, Julia Gillard, is an atheist.

She has stated that:

"I am not going to pretend a faith I don't feel," she said.

"I am what I am and people will judge that.

"For people of faith, I think the greatest compliment I could pay to them is to respect their genuinely held beliefs and not to engage in some pretence about mine."
