The world says, "Seeing is believing."

Jesus' way is just the opposite.

Jesus said, "...If you believe, you would see..."

(John 11:40).

Seeing isn't always believing as I know for a fact, due to some of my weird life experiences. Only the gullible believe in something that is not credible, like resurrection after death!

BP, "believing is seeing" isn't specifically Christianity, but superstition of all sorts. People are suggestible and can be led to experience all kinds of things, in a manner that is sometimes called cognitive bias.

Cognitive bias may be seeing, of a sort. It's interpreting the world according to the sense one already wants to make of it, no matter how false that sense may be.

However it's known to be flawed, and for this reason, empirical knowledge (i.e. science) uses blind and double-blind experiments, to separate expectation from observation.

When you do that, you get results that anyone can observe whereas the other way, you only get your own ignorance and prejudice -- which is cheap, and occurs in every faith.

I hope that may help.

Seeing is believing? Have you ever watched a magic trick and believed it was real magic instead of just a trick?

I believe there is 1 million dollars in neat little bundles in front of me.

* crickets chirp *

I really believe it.

Nope. I don't see it.
Fatihah: It's like your mother making spaghetti and after you taste it and don't like it, you say "well my mom must not exist". Not because their is no logical evidence but because she doesn't do what you want.
