Who were the Ninehvites?

If you read the book of Jonah, you will see they were a wicked city, full of many of the things that Jehovah disliked.

Just like the whole earth is today.

So, he decided to wipe them off the face of the earth

Just as he is promising to do to the wicked, in his view, today.

But being a loving God he sent a prophet to warn them about their impending destruction, since he does nothing without first giving a warning.

As those who know the story well already know Jonah took fright and tried to run away, but one way and another was eventually persuaded to do what was needed.

He went, and he preached what he was told to do.

Today Jehovah uses the JWs for the same task.

What was the result for Nineveh?

Well they listened and repented. Even their wicked king put on sackcloth and sat amongst the ashes in repentance.

God listened, accepted their repentance and Nineveh was spared.

So.

Are you going to repent, join in with his provision for salvation and live?

The opportunity is there for all.

Take it and live, with an option on eternal life, on a restored paradise earth in perfect health and perfect peace and security, with a global loving brotherhood the only other people around.

Refuse it and die. The choice is yours.

God loves you and wants you to choose life, but only you can make that decision. no-one is going to make it for you.

And, the moral of that story is never send a prophet to do God's work.

a stranger in a bar and proceeding to have relations with no valid proof of the intent of the person. Muhammad wins. ~ Fatihah

Why? He succeeded in getting a result that pleased God greatly.

All flesh will perish in this first age, MCB. No flesh can make a decision to keep itself alive. The proud of this earth do not understand this fact.

Psalms 22: 27-29
27: All the ends of the earth shall remember and turn to the LORD; and all the families of the nations shall worship before him.
28: For dominion belongs to the LORD, and he rules over the nations.
29: Yea, to him shall all the proud of the earth bow down; before him shall bow all who go down to the dust, and he who cannot keep himself alive.
