What do you guys think about YouTube star TJ Kirk aka the Amazing Atheist? I'll admit he can be abrasive and his style certainly isn't articulate or philosophical in nature, but I like to watch him for entertainment and he does bring up common atheist objections to theistic claims. And lately he's been trying to up his game by hosting atheist vs theist debates between actual credible people. In fact he has one going on today!

Here are his two channels for those unfamiliar:

The Amazing Atheist: https://www.youtube.com...
The Drunken Peasants: https://www.youtube.com...

Actually listening the the DPP right now, he's to some extent a comedian so of course I'm not about to source him in a debate but he is a very articulate person and, honestly, he was one of the main influences on my decision to be an atheist.

I like him, I enjoy watching his videos and agree with most of his points.

You "decided" to be an atheist? How?

I had the choice to either continue to follow christian doctrine out of fear of what may happen after my death, or accept my lack of faith and move on as an atheist.
The "choice" was really over whether or not to be honest with myself.

You made the right choice. I wonder how many closet atheists there are in the church.

That is fairly precisely what I was going to say.

I have a Floridian friend who is in the closet (in multiple ways) and has actually already written some very damning essays on christianity, but he'll be forced to go through christian private school, on to christian college before he can come out to his family safely from across the continent lest he face total ostracism.

He is good as a comedian, but if you are looking for good reasons to be an atheist, I recommend other sources.
