(1) I don't think there is a clear differentiation between past, present, and future (eternalism), so I would say the universe is past-finite but still eternal.
(2) Why is this in the religion forum?

I don't have the expertise to form a firm view, Frbsn. In practice,I think that the universe is so big and our habitat so small and fragile that the difference is unlikely to affect us materially in the foreseeable future.
