In 1450 BCE when Moses led the Hebrews out of ancient Egypt, he gave them 10 commandment which according to their times they apparently needed most. I will recite them for the record:

1 - worship of no other gods besides YHVH permitted
2 - creation and/or worship of graven images prohibited
3 - name of YHVH to be kept sacred
4 - no work on the 7th day of the week
5 - obedience to parents by youth required otherwise stoning prescribed
6 - murder forbidden with capital punishment prescribed
7 - wife swapping forbidden
8 - theft forbidden
9 - lying forbidden
10 - desiring that which is another's forbidden

My own modern 10 commandments are as follows -- these pertain to our times:

1 - keep all the laws of God and man whom ever your god is and wherever you live
2 - be wary of all organized religions
3 - support your government so long as they follow the constitution
4 - don't kill or hurt anyone unnecessarily (self defense only etc)
5 - don't go anywhere unarmed
6 - never hit or hurt a woman or girl
7 - stay away from married women
8 - be humane to all the animals
9 - don't waste food
10 - leave the Earth a cleaner better place than you found it

1) my God is Charles manson
2) most religions are unorganized, those are ok?
3) my government is North Korea, and yes they follow "their" constitution
4) my government tells me the Russians are threatening me, any help?
5) I'm a woman, and a professional women's boxer
6) I tried being humane to an alligator, hence I'm an amputee, what should animals be to us?

My point being that most of Moses' commandments are no longer relevant.

Some of your comments are pretty clever.

Charlie Manson is not a god by any stretch of the imagination. What I had in mind was the top 10 or 12 major world religions -- Christianity, Islam, Hinduism, Buddhism, Shito, etc. You could have offered a more intelligent response and just as controversial about Islam and the 72 virgins. Maybe try again? That is an interesting and debatable issue. What do we do about the violence inherent in Islam?

I suppose North Koreans should support their government. But this issue came up with the Nazi's after WW2 in Germany -- do you hold those people responsible for the acts of their government? The 90 year old Nazi in the news is a good example of the issue and the question.

If you are worried about Putin, then you can get a head start by joining the military now while there is still time to get training and become an NCO or officer rather than just Joe Private -- maybe that would lengthen your lifespan in the next European WW3?

I know you're not a woman. But your point about women perhaps brutalizing men does not register with me.

I grew up in Florida so I know all about alligators. They taste just like chicken. If you are hunting alligators for meat just don't waste any of the food. Otherwise just carry a big stick around with you and speak softly.

You seem pretty young and inexperienced with life. But don't worry you'll get older (hopefully) and then you'll get smarter (hopefully). That usually happens to everybody. All my friends who are now getting older an facing retirement feel like they are smarter than when we were all kids.

My own commentary on modern American kids is that they don't take their education seriously enough, and they drink beer and smoke dope way too much. What about you?

I've got 10 of my own:

1. Do not restrict the freedom of others.

2. Do not ever cause bodily harm to another person if it can be avoided.

3. Do not force your ideologies and beliefs onto those around you.

4. Do not intentionally give another person false information for the purpose of harming them.

5. Allow all around you to speak their minds freely, without threat of physical violence.

6. Strive to find knowledge of the world around us.

7. Do not claim to have ownership over others.

8. Do not take that which does not belong to you.

9. Share your wisdom with the world, for if you die, so does the knowledge you keep.

10. Do not discriminate against those around you for things that they cannot control.

the biggest problem with your list is that you mixed up #'s 2 and 3. LOL. We should be WARY of our government. And support any religion that is sincere in its attempts to do Good Works and Know God's Will and follow the teachings of Jesus. I DO like #'s1, 6, 8, 9, and 10 though. Not a bad job overall, but you give too much credit to humans to ask trust them to always be packin heat. LOL> God Bless.

God's commandments are spiritual ones that God's people in the flesh cannot obey.

Your commandments are of this world that has nothing to do with spiritual things that is revealed to His holy nation.

It's obvious to the Spirit of God that you don't understand the written Ten Commandments that was given to the Jews. The Jews thought they were about this world and tried to practice them. LOL !!!!!!!
