Not many Christians have figured out how the name "Jehovah" came about. The Jews never addressed God by name and there was no "J" in Hebrew. So we know it cannot be a name for God's (God's name) and the word Jehovah is not found in the Hebrew bible.
We also know the Jews don't accept the Virgin birth. So they never made the connection I am about to offer.
It is known the angels came and had sex with the daughters of men.

GENESIS 6:1 Now it came to pass, when men began to multiply on the face of the earth, and daughters were born to them, 2 that the sons of God saw the daughters of men, that they were beautiful; and they took wives for themselves of all whom they chose. 3 And the LORD said, "My Spirit shall not strive with man forever, for he is indeed flesh; yet his days shall be one hundred and twenty years." 4 There were giants on the earth in those days, and also afterward, when the sons of God came in to the daughters of men and they bore children to them. Those were the mighty men who were of old, men of renown. (NKJV)

So how did the word Jehovah enter the Bible?

When the angels returned and shared their stories about their illicit sex with the beautiful daughters of men, it got the attention of God. God then said was looking to go down and get some action for himself and pre-picked a Virgin called Mary. The angels encouraged God and told Him "Joe have her"or "Joe hoe her". That was translated as Jehovah by the Greeks and became the chant word for the JW. That is why the JW insists Jesus is only the son of God because "Joe hoe her" is how they remember Jehovah's that led to the events of the Jesus years.

There is less confusion after bible was translated into English. Colloquial slangs became apparent.
Jehoeher, Joehoeher and Joehaveher all sound the same as Jehovah. But their meaning is clearer. Jehovah was substituted as a politically correct word so as not to offend Christians with a colloquial expression that was a cheering call to God to go for it/her (Mary).

Jehovah name was invented in medieval era. This name was not even known in earlier Judaism. In the other word it is a new attributed name upon the alleged God, no matter how people effort to justify it.
I suggest they pick the other fixed name of deity in the Torah or Gospel.

Here is a more accurate explanation for the use of the name 'Jehovah':

Greg Stafford, a former JW, uses the rendition 'Jaho(h)-ah' as shown here:

"The afternoon came down as imperceptibly as age comes to a happy man. A little gold entered into the sunlight. The bay became bluer and dimpled with shore-wind ripples. Those lonely fishermen who believe that the fish bite at high tide left their rocks, and their places were taken by others, who were convinced that the fish bite at low tide." The words Joe, hoe, ho are more modern and are colloquially used. Example Joe is an affectionate term for someone, Hoe as in sex and ho as in whore. The JW was founded around 1870. They knew these colloquial terms were offensive and substituted Jehovah to address politically a horny God the angels were egging on shouting Jehoeher! Joehaveher! Joehaveher!!!!

"Jehovah" is obviously not the correct name for God, but neither will the OP's preferred method for becoming spiritual be seen as anything more than a joke. Meditation is nothing but a watery version of what really needs to be taken place. To think of all the hours this guy has wasted with his legs crossed like a pretzel, what a shame.

When he claims that the origin of the word "Jehovah" comes from the angels telling God to "Joe hoe her", then there's a 99% chance that he's trolling (that remaining 1% is reserved for the possibility that he's simply retarded).
